The most important factor in the survivability of a crash is the rate in which the velocity is decreased. The slower the transition the more survivable and even at high velocities we can reduce the impact by designing the chassis to crumble in a certain pattern and by use of materials that and not static and more dynamic. Considering all the 3 objects with the same mass, the wall, car 1 and car 2. Are you assuring that collide with a wall at 50 mph has the same impact that colliding at 100 mph?

I've seen the MythBusters thing, and they say the numbers are 'virtually the same'. So they're not the same. Simple as that. Besides the fact that the 2 cars are not 100% identical. That's impossible. Even if the cars are the exact same model, it doesn't mean they're 100% the same. MythBusters just tends to be just, fun & games.
