Tend to agree, but should we hear what the insurance adjuster and body shop have to say about it? 🤔💸😉

This is correct. We studied car crashes at with doctor Bob Hubbard and in France when developing the HANS device. The most important factor in the survivability of a crash is the rate in which the velocity is decreased. The slower the transition the more survivable and even at high velocities we can reduce the impact by designing the chassis to crumble in a certain pattern and by use of materials that and not static and more dynamic. The same principle applies to mountaineer safety equipment (ropes harnesses and cording).
    Yeah!! Science!!!

so are we assuming that both cars have an equal mass?

Ah, I will never forget Uncle Rogers' daughter, she became a YT physics teacher. . . Instead of Doctor

Lets rebuild the first situation, a car at 100 mph and the other one 0 mph. The impact is the same right? We just change the referential. Considering all the 3 objects with the same mass, the wall, car 1 and car 2. Are you assuring that collide with a wall at 50 mph has the same impact that colliding at 100 mph?

Only in a perfect world is that true. In the real world, you are very wrong.

Don't even bother with DraftScience. He's just a bit too weird, and he gets 'distracted' like some religious crazy person, and may ask to cover yourself up before he can focus on his important Godly work.

The worldly person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight!

I've seen the MythBusters thing, and they say the numbers are 'virtually the same'. So they're not the same. Simple as that.
Besides the fact that the 2 cars are not 100% identical. That's impossible. Even if the cars are the exact same model, it doesn't mean they're 100% the same.
MythBusters just tends to be just, fun & games.
