I didn’t know you could get a PhD without a Masters nor did I know Masters course work can count towards PhD program. Good to know! I got my Masters at 26 and now looking into PhD cause these private sector companies and sucky jobs not it 😂. I’ve been out of school for a year kind of bored though so why not go for it 😅

Make sure you really really have affinity with the topic...Else it can be 4-6 years of hell. Still, it can be even with a topic you like very much. Adventurous, a PhD is!

Hi Kinks. Thank you very much for the very focused advise that you provide in your video. I have a friend who is interested in doing a PhD in Business. Of course your advise kind of provides a road map that i should recommend to her. I appreciate the simple and clear instructions. JP

Great video, I found myself waiting to hear about how hard it is and how it drags on and on but am seriously happy that that is not what you talked about. I am currently applying for PhD programs and am really still struggling in deciding since 1 to 2 years sounds like a nice breather mentally as well in order to become more prepared for graduate school but finishing sooner sounds sooooo good toooo! Decisions to be made...I hope we all succeed in all programs we get into or are already in! Good luck everyone

Hi Ijeoma.... I am a 1st year student from Bangladesh. I currently study Biochemistry and biotechnology at North South University in Bangladesh. I am planning to do PhD after undergrad... But I am not sure how to get publications and all.
Can you make video for international students applying for phD without masters?

Some PhD programs allow master's coursework to count in the program. Other PhD programs do not allow conferred-degree coursework to count as PhD coursework. A conferred-degree is a degree that was finalized. If you did not complete it, you can transfer some coursework into the PhD, if it applies. The University of Denver (Colorado, USA) does this. Make sure you research the school's you apply to first. Klassy Klanks does not explain realities like this; her "How to Apply" video is greatly insufficient.
Ultimately, getting funding for a master's is almost always impossible (unless you have A LOT of experience with stats and data analysis, and can earn research assistantships). If you have to pay out of pocket for a masters, do your masters fully online, if possible. You will save about one-quarter to one-third the cost this way. You will GREATLY benefit with a masters in numerous ways: 1) you can finish your PhD faster; 2) you will have an extra degree, and experience working with a different level of graduate work not present in a PhD program; 3) experience to handle the rigors of a PhD program, thus helping you not become an ABD (all, but dissertation) that someone fresh out of a bachelor's program has a better chance of failing a PhD. The PhD is a multi-phasic process. No PhD program prepares you for every step. Take time to learn of the process. Do not rush into it.

You are most welcome. No worries; I just posted 6 days ago (from your post 8 months ago). I will be honest, I did not expect you to come back and read it. I will post some more about the online masters, and what to search.
