A lot of singers can transition quite easily into acting. They've learned about camera ops and how shots and blocking works, so it's pretty easy. Acting is also about understanding how cameras work and having screen presence.

The whole movie is basically- the Assistant DA (her brother in-law) frames his wife’s secret lover for murder, instead of simply divorcing his wife for infidelity. If a man seduces and sleeps with your wife, that’s you and your wife’s problem... Not the other guy. “Weak men will always be weak men” is my reminder from watching this movie. Why in the hell would you go through all that over an unfaithful spouse, makes no sense. Men and women need to learn to stop putting their life and their freedom at risk over an unfaithful significant other.

Omg Tyler does it again!!! Makes a mid, poorly written and directed movie, over dramatized, and fizzled out extremely bad towards the end. I don’t have to necessarily agree with the protagonist’s actions but if I can at least understand them fine. In this movie, pretty much nothing Mea did made sense. It wasn’t even like this guy was the least bit compelling as a seducer. He literally screwed someone else in front of her. 🤦🏾♀️

Both of them deserved to get acting gigs. Beyonce can keep her gigs, but I agree, Kelly deserved more gigs of her own as well. She is a slightly better actress than Beyonce and might even have more potential as an actress, but there were enough opportunities to go around, Kelly should have been offered roles of the same caliber as Beyonce, maybe this role will change things for her.
Beyonce was always given the best as the one pushed to have the biggest success, main singer in DC, spoke the most in interviews, had the image of the most attractive and got the better writers and producers. Kelly really grew into her own as a solo artist, has more personality, funny, personable, grew into her beaauty and better at acting. She should have starred as Donna Summer years ago cos she has the look, singing ability and could have really been helped to act better a decade or so ago. Missed opportunity.

Tyler Perry is so arrogant that he doesn't have writers to write the scripts. He writes his own scripts and it shows. He lacks creativity and depth. This plot is monotonous! The only highlight is Kelly's tremendous beauty, humbleness and talent.
It pisses me off that she used violent twice. That lost me. The writing fell flat with so much potential.
