- Do you learn English with movies? In this English lesson I show you how to use a scene from the movie Lady Bird to improve your English speaking and English pronunciation. You will learn about English speaking elements like reductions and contractions. When you use movies for learning English you have the opportunity to mimic and learn from native speakers. I have developed a terrific method for your learning over the past 10 years and I’ll show you exactly how to learn English movies’ power for improving your speech. We will look at a scene from Lady Bird together and walk through everything that the native speakers are doing. When you use this approach to learning English with movies you begin to see each of the components that make American English sound the way it does. And you can watch all summer long as we take a new movie each week to give you more and more opportunities to learn English movies and improve your English speaking.
This summer you can also download a free audio lessons to go with this video: rachelsenglish.com/summer-blo...

Rachel, you can't imagine how helpful these videos have been for me and my students! Thank you sooo much! You're wonderful as usual!
Thanks a lot Wilson!
This is a really good English teaching in UA-cam that I’ve ever learned.
When i watched your first video i didnt understand you ,because my listening skills were poor but now i understand every word u say. 🤗
This is good to think that Saorsie Ronan is Irish and trained for this particular accent. She did an awesome job in the movie
Thank you so much for your helping anybody who doesn’t speak English
Thanks Rachel, you're definitely doing a great job with your videos, I studied at an English school for 10 months, but the teacher never taught me how to speak like this. I mean "linking sounds" and I think that's the most important thing to do when you're learning a language. Because people speak in this way, I remember when I had my first conversation with a person from the U.S.A. I wasn't able to understand at all, cause, he spoke very fast and using a lot of linking sounds. And when you speak like this it sounds more natural and fluent. Once again thanks Rachel, keep it up. Greetings from Honduras.
Awesome Eric! Thanks a lot for sharing!
I finally ramp up my understanding capacity of American accent in the films and series in the support of these amazing videos. I can't thank you enough Rachel!!!
