23:15 you see a traffic light next to a normal trffic ligth, when that light goes white you are good to go, also you can already close the door when you are dealing with the last person who wants a ticket. that will save you some time
If you set the weather to "real weather" and pick a place, the game will update the weather from that location every few minutes. The best way to make realistic transitions between different kinds of weather
0:24 - "I'm gonna go for the _Berlin_ to _Spandau_ map." As a _Berliner,_ this is priceless. (I assume _Spandauers_ would find it even more priceless.)
I had the Privilege to drive these buses for over 25 years, and the SG280 before that (about 1988 they were delivered). This game is so accurate it's scary. They have got the howl of the zf transmutation perfect! I think it's hilarious the stress Paul is under trying to keep to that time table. Brings back a lot of memories.
If you run a red light you save time. If you run With one open front door you save time. To Control the temperature on hot days just open a vindow in the bus or adjust the outside temperature in the weather settings. You allso have "the right of way" in a country that drives on the right side when a car comes from the left. I enjoy all Your videos Squirrl! Keep em comming:)
Its soooo funny to see when a English speaking YTer plays a game where the people are speaken German....because iam also German :D And he said: "Eine Fahrkarte bitte!" Which means that he want a ticket
You can have realtime weather from a bunch of Cities and it works perfectly. Then you'll really have real weather. Just check out a tick box on the bottom right in the weather menu.
The sounds of this sim is so good x I have to say when it’s slowing down to a stop it sounds like the London Underground tubes a little bit x I think x may sound crazy but it just does to me It seems to have some very realistic features x I don’t know why but I enjoy watching these sims x I can’t afford any of them or the add ones with it (steering wheel mods etc) so enjoy watching them instead Well done Squirrel on another great YT sim video x
At 23:04 you have green only for buses shown with a white line at the side of the traffic lights. In particular, widely used in Scandinavia to help buses forward in traffic so they can keep up with the timeline.
Squirrel there was a bus light for the last intersection meaning you could go before the car. Always look for a trafic light on its own with a white step strip. The have the same in Australia
Thanks for the instructions and bus set-up at the beginning! I've been driving this route myself lately but couldn't figure out how to work the IBIS. Thanks again!
Love your new OMSI 2 Series. A small note on pronunciation: It's Ohm-sih, not O.M.S.I. It's a acronym for OM-nibus SI-mulator. Not a big deal, but it's noticeable.
Hey Squirrel, when at a red light, if you'll notice, there is a another light to the right. when that comes on it means buses are allowed to go (priority). All others at both intersections will have a red light. Love your vids btw, keep em comin..
Indeed, he needs to learn how special bus signals work. There are horizontal, vertical and diagonal bars, a dot and sometimes a triangle signal on those special traffic lights for busses. They are derived of signals used for trams. The meaning: "---" is STOP (red), the dot on the middle lamp (if present) is equivalent to yellow and "|" says GO (green). The diagonal ones like \ and / mean GO LEFT and GO RIGHT wbere multiple directiins of driving are possible. The triangle symbol (one end pointing down, the others left and right at the top side) means GO, but it is non-exclusive, that is you have to watch for other traffic as well, and the other traffic might have priority according to standard traffic rules.
At 23:03 you were already allowed the go. You can see the diagonal white light next to the normal traffic light, which means the bus waiting there can go left, to prevent other cars from crashing into it.
You get the depot wrong. You have to chose the one appropriate for the date you are playing. You were playing on 1988, so you have to get the 1988 depot file. This is because this route had a change in the number. In your depot file, the same line was line 130, and on the map was 5. Also, to have the annoucements working you have to type line 00500 and then route 01 or 02, depending on the direction you are going. Normally 01 or 02, but if its not the full line it might be another number. The Hamburg map was the only one different (and easier). Sorry for my english mistakes...
Squirrel you need to try the Volvo 9900 coach bus ,you can download it for free. And about the weather you can choose an option to use a real weather ,of Berlin for instance and it's suppose to update itself according to the real weather.
Nervenklinik was the Psychiatric Clinic (Nerve Clinic) in Spandau. Spandau was the british occupied part of West-Berlin and actually you can go to the border of the former DDR or GDR with line 92.
At the kast stop in the video the signal actually tells you that you may drive. the White stripe in signal is for busses angle tells which direction you can drive :D
@23:01, I think you were meant to get a headstart, as the bus signal had a backslash light meaning the bus was meant to turn left. Tageskarte is a day pass. It's funny to still recognize the pre-Euro currency, even the five-mark coin.
Just wanted to point out at 23:03 the signal next to the red light is a separate signal for buses and you were able to go. That would've solved the merging issue.
I think it's funny when you open the doors and a passenger is "freaking out" .."having an Epileptic fit"...😂😂😂 (I have Epilepsy by the way) but I still think watching your vids when they do that makes me laugh haaaaaa !!!!😂😂😂
@18:10 that's why it's got realtime weather info from real cities, built into it, as an option. As a review I think the video could explain features much better.
Paul. If you had paid attention to the traffic light at 23:00, you could have seen that you had the right of way when the "bus traffic light" came on. ;)
Hi again :) LOL!!! so glad you did another Omsi 2 video..... I wondered if I would need tissues this time or whether it would be a serious kind of bus ride....didnt have to wait long....I am cracking up in fits of laughter yet again, wiping tears with the tissues...you are hillarious....loving my Bendy bus ride....oh! got to go....need to get to the bus stop ready to hop on your bus again >>>>>>>>> on to part 2.....LOL!!! Awesome loving every minute :) see you at the bus stop LOL!!! Magz :)
19:47 Nobody drove into the bus. I think you just didn't let them all out at the stop. At least the guy was just complaining that he wanted to get off.
XD Brilliant as always. I've been on a coach that had a car do that to it, although it was coming the other way. Clipped the rear left passenger side wheel arch and left a lovely long scratch down the side of his motor. He was lucky not to get more damage to be honest.
Not that it matters much but in 1992 this line was called 130. You probably had the time set to the '80s, rather than 1992. That's why it was given to you as Line Nr. 5. The route is the same though. ;) This map is situated between 1986-1994. And there are some interesting changes during the years. Especially for line 92. Btw. the 5N line is the night version of line 5.
Driving physics are slightly different on a bendy bus compared to a truck, because it is driven on the rear (C) axle and not on the middle (B) axle. The Ikarus 280 bus was the only bus that I know of that has been driven through the B axle. And actually that bus had the wheels on the C axle self-steered, which was unique too. Beacuse the rear driven buses can't have that feature.
The main difference to a truck is the steering! A truck has the steering axle right at the front, while a bus has the steering axle behind the drivers seat, so the driver sits in front of the steering. This is why long busses can still do quite hard turns, they can enter a narrow road without hitting the corner stone with their front wheels, while the front part of the bus is already hovering over the street corner, "borrowing" some space from the pedestrian's side-walk for that short moment.
That was funny Paul lol. i keep laughing at the Muppet song ,brings back so many memory's of Animal playing the drums i used to love him when i was a kid. cant wait for part 2 will he make it on time?.
Nice vid....but you missed your signal [ \ ] on the traffic light...which means go for busses, before it changes for the rest of the road traffic. Was bad re AI car hitting you! lol He said Fahrkarte = ticket.

13:20 "okay scumbags! fine!" and then at 13:25 "i was being nice and everything"
lol
+Veeti Kari lol XD
+M Gennissen XD
Whoever built the bus for the game did an excellent job! The amount of detail used has made it look close enough to the real thing 😁
Just saying; Nervenklinik is not a town, it's the German word for 'mental hospital' (aka psychiatric hospital) ;)
lol
Never knew that
But when you translate it word by word, it's 'Nerve Clinic' lol
The busdriver goes to the mental hospital....
23:15 you see a traffic light next to a normal trffic ligth, when that light goes white you are good to go, also you can already close the door when you are dealing with the last person who wants a ticket. that will save you some time
"hang on didn't you just get on"
If you set the weather to "real weather" and pick a place, the game will update the weather from that location every few minutes. The best way to make realistic transitions between different kinds of weather
at 23:00 he gets a white line next to the traffic light. This means the buss lane are allowed to drive, even if the ordinary traffic has a red light.
"Good morning...all right, scumbags..." :DDD
Just because nobody likes you Mr Renault ;)
Nahát Isti... Te mindenhol ott vagy! :D
I'm forever alone. :( Even doe i'm a truck,i can handle Scandinavian roads.
Renault Magnum
I spit on u reno xD
Renault Magnum You cannot handle russian roads :D
0:24 - "I'm gonna go for the _Berlin_ to _Spandau_ map." As a _Berliner,_ this is priceless. (I assume _Spandauers_ would find it even more priceless.)
13:42 In this game you can literally be a back seat driver! :)
I had the Privilege to drive these buses for over 25 years, and the SG280 before that (about 1988 they were delivered). This game is so accurate it's scary. They have got the howl of the zf transmutation perfect!

As a member of the scumbag community, I really have to object to being lumped in with taxi drivers!
Procrastinator7 :D
lol
yeah they are
yeah they are
+Dawid Gorski yeah they are

squirrel's word of the day:
"Scumbags"
Its soooo funny to see when a English speaking YTer plays a game where the people are speaken German....because iam also German :D And he said: "Eine Fahrkarte bitte!" Which means that he want a ticket
hahahahahahahaha yeah sooooo funny hahahahahahahahahah hahahahahahahah dude.....
Danificationnn السلام عليكم o.
Mein deutscher kamarad :D
Ticket to where? Kind of important for the busdriver to know...., unless the bus driver knows him from before lol:)
You can have realtime weather from a bunch of Cities and it works perfectly. Then you'll really have real weather. Just check out a tick box on the bottom right in the weather menu.
"You're not my friends anymore!"
Hahahaha lol, you were to much for me in this vid. It was great, pal, really great. 😂
@Squirrel: pro tip, to set the IBIS properly with announcements. Make sure you set the LINE, KURS AND ROUTE.
As others have pointed out, Nervenlinik is a psychiatric hospital...just the right place for us nutty people!
The sounds of this sim is so good x
I have to say when it’s slowing down to a stop it sounds like the London Underground tubes a little bit x I think x may sound crazy but it just does to me
It seems to have some very realistic features x

That AI is just incredible! I mean they turn wheels when they're turning and the way they look! That Citroen BX and Opel... Brilliant.
At 23:03, you're meant to depend on the white diagonal light to tell you to go. Same as U Altstat Spandau, if you didn't know.
I can't even stop watching all your videos on my iPad
Me neither.
Squirrel, U Bahnhoff = Subway Station, Nervenklinik= Mental Hospital :)
To save people some time, 7:00 is when he actually starts driving the bus.
i would love it if paul stopped and opened his door, and then screamed "Buswankers" at the Scums at the stop :P
May not particularly like the OMSI game, but I am on the floor for the hilarious commentary
Love your new OMSI 2 Series.
A small note on pronunciation: It's Ohm-sih, not O.M.S.I.
It's a acronym for OM-nibus SI-mulator.
Not a big deal, but it's noticeable.

I love bendy buses
Squirrel: good morning
*Not him again im not getting on.
Squirrel: Alright scumbags see if i care
"What the hell is this? Speed?" That may be the best line from Paul during OMSI 2 to date.
haha, about the lady walking past your bus at the beginning. "We'll have none of that."
At 23:03 you were already allowed the go. You can see the diagonal white light next to the normal traffic light, which means the bus waiting there can go left, to prevent other cars from crashing into it.
Nice video Squirrel :) Apotheke is pharmacy :)
And "Eine fahrkarte bitte" means a ticket please :)
and "Nervenklinik" means psychiatric clinic. (Nerven = nerves)
ThePTChem The other half has just said "that's where he should be", LOL. No offence, your vids are very entertaining Squirrel.
Nice video squirrel
+Squirell, at 23:03 There was a diagonal white line at the traffic light when it was red and that means you can drive.
"Nervenklinik" actually is "mental hospital" in German. Nice video! xD

"You may not have a schedule pal but I do" - Squirrel 2015 :D
Its kinda sad Nervenklinik is basically a nuthouse and you didnt know it at the time :D
I don’t care for buses but the realism in these sim games are crazy

19:24 , gives squirrel like two p
Squirrel I'm watching this while it's raining in Auckland. A great way to start of my boring day.
A ''Nervenklinik'' is a mental hospital :P
Yes and it´s 2 words Nerven-Klinik. Nerve-Clinic.
In german, it is only one word
+LPNylon german people make everything one word
At 23 mins you had a priority to go over the cars with diagonal white line - great video I like this route
JJ1689ZA 23:03
15:30 Hello good morning welcome to squirrel buses
I love how you guys say your "Heytch" letter.
You can "pause" trackir. Means it will halt at the position you currently look at. When you "unpause" it continues like nothing has happened
Oh man I think Helsinki had that bus in service for awhile. Looks so familiar.
@10:20"I suppose you've got right of way"
Did you actually say that......?
19:36 "is that Monopoly money"
At the end, to make that left turn, you actually had a bus light. The diagonal white line allowed you to go before normal traffic ;)
Watched several of your videos now... Very entertaining... Plus I like squirrels. Sooo... You just earned a sub!
Just wanted to point out at 23:03 the signal next to the red light is a separate signal for buses and you were able to go. That would've solved the merging issue.

Oh thank god you put back the steering wheel. Thanks! Also lovely bus lol
"Nervenklinik" is basically a mental hospital, Squirrel ;)

Mr. Senses 23:04
Thank you for your 🚌 buses. I've had so much fun
Watching the videos from your collection keep up the great 👍 work
Hi again :) LOL!!! so glad you did another Omsi 2 video..... Awesome loving every minute :)
see you at the bus stop LOL!!!
Magz :)
You have a great sense of humor
I think scumbag is his new favourite word 😂
19:47 Nobody drove into the bus. I think you just didn't let them all out at the stop. At least the guy was just complaining that he wanted to get off.
19:44 you where not looking in your mirrors!
Dalai Lama he was, the car stupidly moved.
at 12:24 he said "Eine fahrkarte bitte" which means "one bus ticket please"
XD Brilliant as always. I've been on a coach that had a car do that to it, although it was coming the other way. Clipped the rear left passenger side wheel arch and left a lovely long scratch down the side of his motor. He was lucky not to get more damage to be honest.
at the lights there is one that has a white stripe in it, thats a bus light. it lets you go first, before traffic so you can keep on time
also the yellow diamond in the signs on the road means you are on a priority road and people shouldnt pull out from side streets as you have way
its pronounced like "nerf" N Klinn ick and at the last traffic light the white line on the right was meant for you. greetings from berlin
Not that it matters much but in 1992 this line was called 130. You probably had the time set to the '80s, rather than 1992. That's why it was given to you as Line Nr. 5. I love the Man NG 272 squirrel what is your favourite bus in the game?
Don't feel too bad about running late, it's pretty much impossible to keep to the timetable with the NG272...
I love your commentary with the ai! It's hilarious! XD
I've been watching a lot of Squirrel lately, mainly ETS2 but also some OMSI and Train Simulator 2015!
Also is this bus included with the game?
22:08 The dancing woman has joined the server.
Nervenklinik, is not a place (it is a type of hospital for nerves), other than that, this was good
Freeze at 23:02 The little white marker on the side of the traffic light gave you priority... Something to watch for next time.
Driving physics are slightly different on a bendy bus compared to a truck, because it is driven on the rear (C) axle and not on the middle (B) axle. Put more Omsi 2 videos out. I love them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At 23:03 there is a white \ (slash) next to the red light. That \-light is for busses. :)
That was funny Paul lol.
i keep laughing at the Muppet song ,brings back so many memory's of Animal playing the drums i used to love him when i was a kid.
cant wait for part 2 will he make it on time?.
The awnser to the ai is....
1.Put it in D for Destroy
2.Gas pedal/accelerator meats wood and dose not leave it
That was a very quick 23 mins
Lol! This video I have laghed more times than in any other vid! Well done Squirrel!
+Squirrel, Nervenklinik isnt a town, its a mental hospital :D
Nice vid....but you missed your signal [ \ ] on the traffic light...which means go for busses, before it changes for the rest of the road traffic.
Was bad re AI car hitting you! lol
He said Fahrkarte = ticket.
amazing game!! love your videos Squirrel
omg thanks squirrel.. ive been looking for a good bus simulator for so long and here it is ^_^ ... takes you to reveal another good simulator
Well done I woke up at London and it was snowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You should learn the traffic lights for Public transport... 'cause at the end in the corner... you had a "green" light when the cars had to wait at the red...
you should use the depot spandau 1988 because that was the date you have set. Then you would be able to use the voice anouncements, by programming the ibis correctly. The BVG has changed the lines in 1990 because germany was united again and they had to reroute the buses to the other parts of the city, in east berlin. the line 5 only existed before this, so the 1992 depot only has the line 137 instead of 5. the 1988 depot has only line 5.
P. S.: if you don't know, the game has a function that changes the scenery, depending on the date you set. eg. sometimes there are road constructions that where not there before. or the fall of the berlin wall
