I just started a week ago but since I am familiar with how to learn a Br from apex, I’ve been absorbing the weapon combo and character videos. Just wanted to say thank you for clear basic info. You and others really keep a friendly consistent environment for beginning players that’s so refreshing in a Br.
Good fights man. On the Tarka fight I know what happened sadly as a former Tarka main myself. How he dropped the infinite is pretty common for people who haven't built in the muscle memory properly yet. He missed the slide input and it just did a standing vertical which knocked you away instead of doing a sliding uppercut. And you are correct about the punch since you use shift while sprinting to activate it it has the dodge attatched. And also spot on about the parry ending as your hit connected. And I cannot as an advocate for Zippy F1 not point that in the entire match, F2 didn't seem to save you once except in the one village fight but iirc you were also charging a focus that got parried so you were going to resist those anyway by charging.
If I was a perfect player, I would agree about the F1 thing, but there was I think 2 instances where F2 saved me quite largely as it prevented larger combos and damage from happening. And yeah sad boi hours for the Tarka main all around
Heya. First of all great vids! I just bought naraka yesterday and I am quite overwhelmed. I have watched your basic fighting skills vid and wondered if it is still applicable/can be updated? Would like to see an updated version of that :D
Within the game there is a guide explaining each Skill for the available weapons, you can consult this information there. But basically if you look at the character's aim, when you use the Nunchaku there are 2 yellow bars that fill up as you take damage or deal damage. When at least 1 bar of those is filled you can charge the vertical attack up to the second stage, and when you hear and see the second charge glow, release the attack button and immediately start pressing it repeatedly to use that special move with golden concentration.
how do u put out the emote this quick for me i always have to hold x to get that wheel and choose one wich takes way to long and i kinda not use them at all did i miss a setting for binding them to a key mby ?
There are light attack combos you can't get out of, but for the most part you lead in with blue focus to avoid getting stunned and release early to still get a light attack out
Btw when u do blue focus to get out of the stagger make sure your making yourself unpredictable so if they counter and you cancel the blue focus the likelihood of them countering the real blue focus makes it more unlikely
Watch for the light attacks. You generally want to avoid getting hit by holding focus at either distance or just out of hit range or while you are getting staggered. You can jump or crouch (this will avoid the horiziontal on most terrain as well) while holding focus to cancel it. This limits the stamina usage and allows you to dodge when necessary. Theres a lot of movement, dodgin that avoids both stagger and focus.

Great video! I've just got to ask, do you use lock target? Is it good to use or no? Thanks!
I personally don't because I like the camera freedom, but it's a preference thing

Any tips on how to counter light attacks? It seems like I just get caught in a stagger and can't tap dodge or blue focus out of it

Correct, it's all conditioning and mindgames
