Being a 62 year old man, and a bit jaded by the losses in my life, I halted my search for new music. I discovered Kavinski by chance while sitting at a cafe watching the sunset over the ocean. It came just in time to entice me to reignite my search for new music and new groups. I thank you immensely!

Didn't catch the show because it was sold out, but we still went to the club (for a seperate event).
As I stood in line with my friends, he passed in the opposite direction carrying his gear, whistling.
We looked at each other, smiled and nodded.

@Efe I mean as good as his music is, before drive he was relatively small time and unknown it’s really not that unbelievable. If you go to a venue that an artist is also at you have a chance of interacting briefly with that artist.

A long time ago now when my girlfriend suffered a miscarriage I would go driving in my old clapped out slammed mr2 and I'd zone out and listen to nightcall on repeat for hours while blasting the backroads alone. It made me feel something other than endless sadness at a time which felt so hopeless. I just finished Listening to Zenith, The "Part 2" to Nightcall for the first time after dropping my girlfriend and our 2 year old little girl off home and I had to head out to roam those old backroads one more time. No matter what you're going through, You're gonna make it.

I have been telling people for over 5 years that you're my favorite artist and turned countless people into fans of yours, but I had given up hope of ever getting another track from you. Zenith = going home in the rain, looking out the window, reminding yourself that even though it doesn't feel that way right now maybe it's better to have failed and lost than to have ended up in a coffin

I discovered KAVINSKY, in 2011 from the soundtrack of Drive, and it being a movie from one of my favorite directors and the way he uses music in his films, and the opening credits scene when nightcall began to play over the skyline of LA and the beat the lyrics and everything else I new I was going to love this artist, and I always have discovered some of the best and my most favorite artists from movies soundtracks, my love for movies has always expanded my love for music

This is the 2nd part of Nightcall and i think it deserves that title, the song is beautiful & powerful, great synths and voice , the last part with Piano & Sax is really awesome.

the production quality to this is unreal.
Since Kavinsky's been gone the genre have definitely become over saturated with some good and some mediocre artist. Yet he comes back with 2 songs and still sounds fresh and new! Can't wait for REBORN!
I feel the same about the scene... it's further proof that Kavinsky is king. He doesn't care to cater to genre conventions, he just wants to make great music.

Funny thing is one of the daft punk boys (Thomas I think or Guy Manuel) helped Kavinsky make nightcall. I can hear a lot of daft-punky vibes in Kavinsky's works. So he's a lot like daft punk.

Electric piano harmony in the back round, the lovely trumpet melody. Great bass that leads the song with a small lick in between verses, strart electric guitar so many beautiful instruments making gorgeous sounds together.
A trumpet solo at the end and a beautiful ending to the song complimenting it's intro. Opening and closure, beautiful.
That's what does zenith mean, life in general actually there is a Climax between opening and closure of anything.
Getting The Sequel of GOAT Nightcall is something i never imagined but Always Wanted and Hoped for !!

Bueno yo creo que fue un intento pero se quedo corto, después de nightcall ya es muy difícil superar ese éxito. Los únicos compositores que lograron eso en su carrera fueron Phil Collins y Michael Jackson, superar un hit es muy difícil.

Nightfall to me is a sharp song so full of energy, enthusiasm, drive, and hope of the night to come during twilight hours.
Zenith is the mellow inverse. Like the end of the night, still awake, unwinding from the same energy at sunrise.
Both could be the intro and outro to anything. A great night with friends, or a great movie. Masterpieces that reflect eachother beautifully. Even the male and female voices shifting from verse & chorus to the inverse.
