In Haikyuu!! there aren't "bad guys". That's why I love this show so much: non-toxic rivalry, great sportsmanship and teamwork, wholesome interactions, overcoming struggles with the help of your friends/teammates/even rivals. You'll like ALL characters eventually.

Kuro has same voice actor with Gojo satoru and Kenma has same voice actor with Eren
One of the things I love in Haikyuu is there really is no "bad guy" or antagonist
having a bad guy is better tho

I love how the author used a lot of symbolism to give secrets or tell the story, for instance the cat that walks out of frame when Hinaata walks up to Kenma and how Kenma eyes are slit-shaped like cats to help reinforce that that Kenma is from Nekoma before actually showing it. I enjoy when authors do small thing like that.
Nekoma actually came very close to being the protagonists! The author even entertained the possibility of having 2 main teams but ultimately decided against it. Kageyama initially looked like Kenma.
The author is also a big horror fan, and you can see it here and there!

So Furudate Haruichi the writer did horror manga as well, so that little creepy bath scene and some future moments where the characters look a little scary comes from his background in that genre, and I think to prove a point of how serious/determined the characters are in certain moments. Also, you’ll notice the more you watch this show that there really isn’t a villain or antagonist, and you honestly really get into the other teams backgrounds and end up loving them as well. 🤗
The thing with Haikyuu is ditch the trash talking when it comes to opposing teams hahahah!!! Cos you will end up liking the characters when you get to know them. My friend regretted tearing into them so bad 🤣 and feeling sorry that he judged them too quickly
There are no antagonist or villains in this anime and they are really just normal high school kids. Even characters of the opposing teams are all quite likable and relatable. Haikyuu does sportsmanship and healthy rivalry very well.

I've loved Kenma since I first saw him and he has become my favourite Haikyuu character😍
Idk in Japan, but in Korea student go back home at 8 p.m is very common. Usually they are studying or just hung out and still wear their uniform. But i think in Japan is just similar. Whether they are studying, hung out, or doing their club's job. Going back home at 8 p.m or 9 p.m are just their habit. It's not taboo.

and anyway if we try to see thing whitout any bias (wich mean no emotion and dont take in count any "moral" and perception of what is "right" or "wrong"), it is a fact that we are to many on earth and war do regule our number a bit, even if we will never manage to kill eachother faster than we reproduce.
PS : i dont said it is a good thing, moral do exist even if its a concept we made up, it still an important one, as for what good or evil, everyone have is own definition of it, so its hardly relevent

The three second years in Karasuno might be hard to be remembered but they're not background character so it's better to remember them. At least remember their face or that they EXIST in the team is good for now 😁.

Idk if there's a canonical reason for Hinata's hair color. But I always think it's the author's choice to make him pop up.
If all the character that's a Japanese have black hair it would be hard to differentiate, since Hinata is the MC maybe it's commercially better to have unusual hair color
yep, that and the fact that japanese red hair is not as uncommon as people think, here in brazil there is an actor (matheus ueta) who is japanese and has red hair!
For quite a long time while Japan was during their isolation phase, the Dutch were the only ones allowed to trade with the country. There was actually a Dutch settlement in Japan because of that, and many Dutch intermarried with the locals. So yeah, there's a part of the population that has the genes for reddish hair.

I would say in most asian countries, teens typically spend most of their time in school. You can say a big part of their lives revolve around school, that includes the social aspect as well. It's not all studies though, it's also including club activities. Back when I was a student, 8am - 3pm was school work, 3pm - 7pm was club activities. A lot of my friends were from the same classes and clubs and rarely, the outside.

Yes, we normally have that kind of schedule. It's quite a norm in Asia to almost live in school rather than at home. I think I spent most of my schooling age in school more than at home.

thats the thing about anime, if their characters r realistic like realistic with a japanese face then it'd be hard for us to differentiate them so they made a lot of characters with unique hair colors hair styles etc and yes its not realistic in japan

Karasuno and Nekoma are my top two favorite team🤍 There's no bad guy in this show, they all have good rivalry.
Yeaahh rival... Not bad guy, bad team, antagonist... They're just a highschooler who like or love volleyball chasing dream "maybe" to compete in national tourney or winning natinal tourney... They just highschooler who living their life...
Nekoma's coaching and playing style reminds me a lot of the Spurs with Gregg Popovich
