  • The Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad is 18 inch gauge railroad in the heart of Los Gatos, CA. Founded in 1968 by William "Billy" Jones, the train takes riders on an almost 2 mile journey from the railroad's terminus in Oak Park and through Vasona Lake County Park. When this video was filmed, the railroad was celebrating Billy Jones' birthday and was operating BJWRR #5, a 4-6-2 "Pacific" type steam locomotive which was acquired in 2013. In this video, you will see #5 pulling excursion trains and see as the train crews begin to close up for the day. A very special thanks to the employees and volunteers who keep the railroad running and for giving us special permission to film in certain areas. I have seen this 4-6-2 “Pacific” at the Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad. Since I live not too far from here. The last time I saw it running, was in September 2021.

Sometimes having a camera, tripod, and a youtube channel has it's advantages.
