(41.4900012, -121.6153345) correct coordinates for Medicine Lake Boondocking. It appears I liked our last Boondocking spot so much that I included those coordinates for this weeks video 😂
Thank you SO much for adding the GPS to your Boondocking videos. I’m hoping that you plan to do this from now on. Your videos are brilliant-I’m going to go back and catch up on the old ones! At which time I’m probably going to beg you for coordinates 😂
How you guys doing on your boondocking book? 😁 I am waiting for a copy!! Gorgeous drone footage! Love how the ice crystals sparkle and twinkle like stars! Caves are a little scary but so cool! Amazing scenic footage, as always!
Here I am visiting some of your older videos. The ice caves remind me what a beautiful world we live in. After a lifetime of exploring and camping I've learned to see the beauty in every environment from harsh deserts to mountains majesty, the simplest prairie has endless wonders.
I totally agree! If we could have made it just a bit further up that road. There is a glass mountain made of all obsidian! We hope to do a revisit at some point. 😀
What a great place Guys!!! so happy you are enjoying it! Carrie, please do not walk with your hands in your pockets, if you fall, you will go face first and lose a tooth! LOL so funny, at the end you gave the advice due to the difficult terrain when ealier you had scared the Mom in me!!! Thank you for another great video!!!
@@oneadVANtureatatime right? mostly in a terrain like that!!! LLLOOOLLLLLLL and then Carrie is going to write back saying: please stop giving him bad ideas!!!!!!! hahahahahaha
Beautiful! Thanks for showing the area at it's finest! And thank you for taking care of Roodle's feet! The ice caves will still be frozen even in the summer. Great places to relax when traveling the lava fields! The entire area was owned by the McCloud River Railroad and the workers, like my grandfather, would use those caves for food storage. There's one cave near your campsite that has an ice slide! You slide down into the darkness and end up in a giant room. Of course you need a rope to climb out and you will get very wet!
That's awesome! I was wondering if anyone used those chilled ice caves for food storage. I would have love to see that ice slide...we had the rope! I appreciate you sharing some history and telling us about your granddad. Very cool stuff. 😎
We have to go back sometime. We missed out showing off Glass Mountain, The Lava Beds, and Medicine Lake! So much to explore in this area...at least when the snow melts. 😀
"I don't know if I like that." Lol. 😁 That's a great place to visit. Wonderful drone footage, Dave. I love Roodle's shoes. 😁 Thanks for sharing, guys. 🙂
Carrie hates snakes and I hate hot weather so hopefully, we will avoid all snake holes this year.😀 Let us know if you decide to go to any of our boondocking sites we may of more useful tips. 😀
What an interesting area. Drone footage was great. (btw, your intro drone footage was what hooked me on your channel to begin with!). Thanks so much for sharing your adventures.
Thank you for subscribing to our channel. I love to fly the drone every chance I get. Every Sunday we post a Boondocking video showcasing where we are free camping at. Then on Wednesday we do a vanlife related video. We hope you will enjoy our videos. We have been living in our van for 2 years and have over 150 videos out. Carrie and I enjoy answering questions and hope to see you on the road someday.
Besides being genuinely nice people the thing I like about your adventures is the way you view nature. I did some reading about medicine lake volcano and the history is amazing. The ice cave was a surprise. Always a thumbs up 👍
I hope we get a chance to go back up there some time. There is a mountain made of obsidian that I would love to share. Along with a couple of lava tubes over 3 miles in length. 😎
Hi, Carrie, Dave, and Broodle. It's Debbie and Lori. We camped next to and met at Miller's Bar at the Chetco on Memorial Day while you and Carrie were cleaning up the trash left by lazy, inconsiderate people. We just got to Lori's in Montana today after a Crazy storm in Southeastern Washington. We'll be in Glacier. Saw two bear cubs in Whitefish this afternoon frolicking in front of a bank and out into the street. They made it across the street. We were a few miles from Lori's. Hope you guys are well. Take care. -Debbie
We are so happy to have met you two! Pretty awesome to see bear cub! Right in town to! Madness lol. We got a pretty good lightning storm at Millers bar that woke us up at 4 am and then rain all day. We still managed to go for a hike on that Redwood trail despite the rain. Today we are heading up the coast a bit. Happy to hear you made it safely back to Montana. We will keep in touch 😀
Hey Carrie!! I am loving all the local sites lately. We just bought a rooftop tent and are looking for places near Chico to start using it on our days off!!
+Stan Watkins YES! Burney falls is GORGEOUS! We stopped there but it was closed due to COVID-19. We have been there before and it is DEFINITELY work stopping!!
Nice! We both went to high school in Alturas. If you go in the summer consider checking out Medicine Lake and Glass Mountain. Also very nice free camping at Bullseye lake. Take care and have a good night,
does the Falken Wildpeak All Terrain Radial Tire impact your van performance on highway? BTW cool video, my wife and I follow your adVanture. We plan to go fulltime vanlife within 1-2 years . :)
I grew up in McCloud, spent many days running around that exact area on my dirt bike. hope it don't get over run and trashed now like so many areas exposed on social media. Please,if you go pack out your trash.
Right on James. We have many subscribers that are helping us keep these sites free of trash. We love promoting leaving a area better than we found it. 👍

What an interesting place! How do you guys find these places? Dave were you in the military? Just curious! Thank you guys for sharing and I’m so happy you’re back out there in the adventure!

The drone has red and green lights but no spotlight. It's funny you ask because I seriously thought about flying it in the cave 😂 I can turn off the obstacle avoidance and fly in small spaces...at some risk of course 😆

It's pretty crazy that ice remains year around in some of those caves even when it's 100 degrees in the summer ☀️

What an unusual place. I have never seen anything like that. Once again, thank you for taking us along!

Loved the sound of the footsteps with the first drone piece. Lovely spot.
All have to go back and take a listen..thinking it was a crunchy sound. 😀
Remember what Thorin said.. "Caves in the mountains are seldom unoccupied.."
Those are the coordinates of Twin Bridges road..
Thank you Mike. We will add a pinned comment with the correct coordinates. Much appreciated.

love your videos, nice aerial shots. Are there any Steam vents in the ground ? Roodle is even wearing boots. What breed is roodle?
Roodle is a labradoodle. Those shoes work great, love them. There are no steam vents there but 50 or more miles south near Lassen there is.
