I was in for 25-years and it was even impossible to plan for Red Fort or Chandini Chowk. But the best eateries are available only in Chandini Chowk. When Delhi Metro was connected we could only save travelling time but the crowd was was unbelievable. I want to visit Chandini Chowk once the project is completed. Many - many thanks for the wonderful video and hope to see the video once the project is completed.

Good initial effort for India, but they have to remove the old buildings and eliminate the narrow gullies. And regulate shop signages and remove all hanging wires etc.
Only then can it be anything like a modern country.
Scooters are parked in the middle, so they people have the same untrained mentality.
These changes are only cosmetic, cause the buildings of the market are untouched.
Hope the PWD people travel outside and learn how to do town planning and make our Delhi truly great again.
It is such a culturally rich city, if we can teach people manners and etiquette , clean up and beautify the place, it would make a befitting capital city.

This used to the Champs Elysé (Paris) of India. A long straight boulevard with trees lined on either side of the road. A beautiful canal with fountains used to run through the centre. Beautiful Havelis, Shops and Mansions used to sit on either side. The road was home to the Imperial Palace of India, a beautiful golden dome mosque, several beautiful hindu temples, a large red sandstone jain temple and later a marble sikh gurudwara. There used to be large gardens like Roshanara Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. There are also used to be one of the worlds largest caravansarais. It was all designed and constructed by Princess Jahanara Begum.

चांदनी चौक/लक्ष्मी नगर etc.,इनमें ये काम करना ही चाहिये 1।Parking
2।Roads को चौड़ी करना,& footpath बनाना
3।Drainage-Sewage system बेहतर करना
4।बिजली तारो को organised करना।

I visited Chandni Chowk way back in 1974 when I participated in Republic Day Parade and it was crowded then. But you know Delhi is beautiful place. I ate my first Tandoori Chicken in Delhi..IAm from Goa.
