They won't bring it back since it would be hated on a lot by newer fighting game fans that's why games like dbfz doesn't have it people would absolutely hate it and demand it to be removed
@@supersaiyangodvegtio9590 they would hate it because according to them "it's not competitive" or "it's something you wouldn't see in a competitive scene"

It's a shame that Infinite World doesn't have those mechanics.... they add so much depth to the gameplay it could've made IW the definitive DBZ "Budokai Style" game for decades
I think something like this could work in a dbfz type game if they made a system similar to the Clash mechanic seen in Injustice 2 where you have to spend more meter/bars than the other opponent to win a struggle.
That’s pretty much the conscensus of the game in general. Beautiful visuals, subpar gameplay. And the worst part about it not selling well, on top of being a Japanese game, is that we’ll probably never see those type of visuals again.
It wasn’t compared to the others but I’m probably one of the few people who genuinely enjoyed playing it, making my own character was my wildest dream and he was op. And the game looked good in my opinion
This game solidified the standard of beam struggles imo. BT2/3 were good but they were far too short and didn't have enough impact. Burst Limit was basically a rio straight from B3, but didn't feel rewarding when you won as only a small amount of attacks could struggle at all. Raging Blast also lacked impact but amped up the explosion radius to compensate. Ultimate Tenkaichi was very close to being the best but since beam struggles were extremely situational and couldn't be done whenever you wanted made it very annoying when you wanted to recreate classic scenes. Lastly Kakarot tried to do something different like aiming the beams and stuff, but again felt rather hollow. The defeated pose is cool but it's all the same for every character which devalues Vegeta's defeat by Goku in their beam struggle. So all in all, B3 is still the best when depicting beam struggles. And that's honestly sad since that game is almost 20 years old and yet nothing has topped it's quality.
Why did they have to fuck about with the games after this, it was perfect! Copy paste, with sharper graphics and extras of course, a license to print money! Developers are so stupid how can you be so blind!
I have a great PC now. Pop in Budokai 3 on pcsx then go to a modded xenoverse that uses anime cel shading instead of the ugly vanilla models. It's a great time to be alive

I always wondered why vegetas aura goes away when he shoots his attack. Turn back in after the attack. Don’t think any other character has that issue.
Super Buu too

Watching Dragonball Z Kai on Nicktoons then I would get on UA-cam to watch this stuff
Budokai had the best fighting sequence when It came to the struggles. That's what make dragon ball what it is
