And I love these cards. Everyone complains that they are the same deck but they're beautifully done. The Kylo of Clubs is also featured with and without the scar that Rey gave him. Great review Tim, been waiting for this one.
Yeah I think they are incredibly well done. Sure I wish they had done all light side courts in one deck and dark in the other. But what they put out was such a great tribute to the series.
Nice detailed review. I'm really disappointed they didn't do all Light and all Dark separate decks. They really coulda made the court cards represent every group. Imagine a whole suit of Jabba's with Boba as the Jack.
I wasted no time with picking these up when they came out. As a child of the 70's, STAR WARS was a must see. Theory 11 did a fantastic job with the set. By the way, good catch on the morse code. This is why your reviews are the best. Attention to the details. Good job once again and "May the force be with you".
Thank you for this absolutely wonderful review. As always, I love the detail you go into. Amazing catch on the Morse Code! Overall, this deck is executed almost perfectly. There is so much detail in the tucks/backs and the courts are out of this world (I love good custom courts that mean something). Just for completeness, I do need to point out that "warp speed" is the wrong franchise ;)
Lol, these things happen 😋 Your reviews are so thorough and well constructed that there are only occasional minor mistakes that anyone can make. So many other reviewers miss the mark altogether when discussing details but your are always so spot on.
Great review! These decks are a dream for nerds like me 😂 btw the seal covers what seems to be a star destroyer, I’m 99% sure Edit: I’m a bit late, sorry about that
I sort of agree. If they are going to do the two deck thing for this set, having differences with the face cards would have been nice. BUT, what I would have preferred is that kept the front of the cards the same and only had one tuck box....meaning the box and the back of the cards would have to merge both sides. Perhaps they tried and it wasn't feasible, but most every other deck of cards made is themed in one deck...like The Avengers set, or James Bond, etc. I would like just a Star Wars deck. Don't want to buy two decks to get one theme.
Glad I only picked up one deck I was about to buy both thinking the cards themselves were going to be different, packaging is a bit misleading, great video
I'm kinda new to cards. I've made a research for the "top" cards and I'm between a set of KEM's or this set. Besides the design and the looks of it, which one would you recommend in terms of durability and quality? A set of KEM is 25€ and Star Wars is 30€ here. thanks in advance :)
A lot depends on what your goal is. Kems are super durable plastic cards and will last forever. These and other similar are more about art and the collector. They’ll last decently and are much better handling, but nowhere near the durability of a Kem card. So Kem is really more if you just want a super durable gameplay deck. For magic, Cardistry or collecting, look at others like the Theory11 decks or other collectible decks like what I feature on the channel!
@@TheCardGuyReviews let's just say I'm a lonely guy haha.. If there is someone to play I love playing, if I'm alone (most of the time) I'm more into card tricks (beginner level for now). Is the Star Wars one plastic too?
It’s not. They are on a paper stock with a finish applied. For card tricks, definitely go with something like this or other Theory11 decks rather than Kem. The handling on Kems make it pretty rough for a lot of magic moves I think!
Kinda bums me out that there's only one character from the prequels on the face cards. I feel that they could have done all darkside characters for one deck and all lightside for the other, but they look great regardless.
@@TheCardGuyReviews Nice! Was thrilled to find this channel. Recently got into cardistry and really wanted a channel to just see some deck reviews. I think with the length of your videos, just a little bit of music in the background would help the entertainment value quite a lot! Otherwise, you're doing a great job. Very thorough and you seem to know a lot about these decks which is great.
Arya has a great time going to be a little while so we have a car and car and truck truck and truck home and car and truck truck and car and pick you home and car car and truck truck and truck car and car

Me personally could only buy one deck so I love the fact I could get both light and dark side characters. But, I get where you are coming from.

Thanks as always my friend! Glad you enjoy the vids...and MTFBWY!
Great review as always. Being a huge Star Wars fan myself, these were an easy pick up for sure
I picked up 12 decks of these yesterday, 3 of each color... red, blue, black, and white! I love them!
Curious to know which is your fave when you get em in hand.
Nice pull on the Morse Code thing, never noticed that.
Glad you did this video. Now I know there's no need to purchase both since they are the same.
Yep. Only get both if you need to keep balance in your collection between the light side and the dark side! 😂
0:00 I'm disappointed
Only a Sith deals in absolutes.

These cards are awesome especially because I am a huge fan of Star Wars!
May the Force be with you!
Saw these advertised on my Facebook news feed and have pre ordered both decks

Just bought the light side deck! Hopefully they are good for fans and shuffles and magic
They handle well. If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’ll love them!
Happy with my purchase
Those are really nice!
They are!
Great review 👍
Thanks!

just picked up a set of these! The typo is fixed on the light side box now! It's ..-.
Good to know! Was such a shame to have a typo in such a cool Easter egg on the tuck!
The Card Guy now yours are just more collectible!

Would have been good if the number cards had images on them. Small. Subtle.
I love when decks replace one pip with a stylized design. That would have been a cool touch!
Hey man, I'd recommend finding some background music for your vids. Great content otherwise!
Not a bad thought. I’ll give that a try in one of my future ones and see how well it works.

Ha...What I lack in video production abilities, I make up for in card knowledge!
Well there you go...my latest vid has music now. Let me know what you think...and thanks for the suggestion!
What does the dark side morse code say?
Same as the light side!
Do they riffle well?
They do. USPCC decks usually handle pretty solid in every aspect, and these are no exception!
Would you recommend the dark side or the light side? *Crys in poor* 😔
I think I prefer the light side blue a bit more...but both are great!

One of the most ugliest deck from Theory 11
