I also hope everyone in this country should contribute to make this place they would love to live in and stay with than counting on the political parties to make things happen. Assuming you're Asian, you are entitled to your opinions, with all your world view and personal life experiences, but in Canada, you're still the minority, in terms of population. So, you have to consider seriously what the majority of Canadians think. Fortunately we have what we call "election" once every so often, where we all vote and decide what the majority thinks and prefers, and AGREE to go with it. Even when your ideas are not accepted doesn't mean they aren't good...so get out there, try convincing others to see things your way. One day if you win them over, you will have the country going your way! But, you don't love Canada just when everything goes your way but hate it when others win the argument. Which we see a lot in these UA-cam comments!

Some of Canada's professional associations are very powerful, at least in terms of lobbying for vetting membership and qualification. For instance, the medical profession. Nonetheless, if one has the opportunity to work in the same field and profession in Canada for a year or two, then one will be seen to have acquired some "Canadian experience" and the path thereafter can be smoother and similar to or on par with typical Canadians, including pay. 2) I agree totally democracy isn't meant to find a good leader but to prevent and contain evil, human evil. Not perfect. Not ideal. But the best humans have devised to date (Churchill). It is also often one generation away from extinction (Reagan).

The Reform Party of Canada could not win ground in Ontario and Quebec in the 90s because the then Liberal party leader Jean Chrétien successfully defamed Reform Party as a racist party ( due to its immigration policy, anti-bilingual, anti-Meech Lake Accord ). Jean also successfully defamed it as a regional ( western based - Alberta ) party which cannot represent the interest of the whole country. Of course, the defamation was based on false accusations but the Ontario voters bought it. Ontario and Quebec have most number of seats in Parliament. Theoretically, a party can rule the country if it win all in these two provinces and lose all in other provinces / territories !
I’ve just remembered that Reform Party had sent a HK Canadian , Raymond Leung, to compete with another HK Canadian representing the then Liberal Party in one of the 90s federal election. Of course, Raymond lost miserably to this HK Canadian of Liberal Party in the riding of Markham, Ontario. Just wonder where Raymond Leung is now.

大學畢業之後去過 Ottawa 做實習兩個幾月；好鍾意呢個地方。
只用半小時覆蓋加拿大歷史及寬闊政治光譜，真喺第一次聽到。無嘢勁得過勁
其實好多老華僑90年代受惠於自由黨馬田，克里靖移民政策成為自由黨鐵票。到今日呢班老華僑多數已經接近退休，會更選擇福利而繼續投自由黨。
小杜之前，自由黨其實係中間派，當年3大黨係有清晰嘅右，中，左之分。小杜之後，自由黨比ndp 更左，直到左癌地步。
另外，魁人黨其實唔算係好左。基本上係機會主義，權，錢，聯邦肯畀，佢就攞盡。
自由黨而家其實好大鑊，走到咁左，但又非常不受歡迎，啲選民左傾嘅，就走去NDP，中間同右傾，去咗保守黨，佢哋夾喺中間又不受歡迎，兩頭唔到岸。所以，我估有些少機會重演1993年發生嘅事。
又唔好睇少NDP.有得贏既話.未必唔夠Liberal 左

不能說香港加拿大籍人數少 就𣎴能夠左右加拿大的選舉結果。 2017 年 BC省選舉 成不了大多數政府 NDP新民主黨 連同祗有二票議席的綠黨 造就NDP執政七年 促使BC自由黨全面失勢。 七年後的今天 選舉大可能會歷史重演 BC保守黨與NDP 暫時相差只是一席 結果是少數政府 NDP聯盟祗得兩席的綠黨 可能再次成為執政黨。 在列治民 Richmond-Steveston 選區, NDP 憑400多票勝出 搶去保守黨一席 就這一席 保守黨就有可能成為大多數執政黨。 這一席的失誤 大可能成因是2,000 多票去了一位香港加拿大籍的獨立參選人 投票予這位獨立參選人的選民都不願選擇NDP. 也有可能相信大部分投票給這位獨立候選人的2,000多選民 當中大多數是香港人 本人就是受游說支持這位香港加籍候選人的家庭 所以不能說香港人 因為人數少 就不能左右選舉結局 個人政見不同 沒有問題 但問題是華人一般對政治冷漠 華人家庭教育及其價值觀 祇追求金錢 他們也有這個概念 華人人數不多 少我一個投票 也沒𨶹係 這是大錯的觀念。 不能說 不能說。
