Having to defend your factories reminds me of GTA San Andreas gang turf wars which I hated having to do. When a territory was under attack and you had to stop what you're doing to go defend it or lose it. So annoying.
Thought of that and Far Cry 4's attempt. Which FC4 is Ubisoft, wasn't as demanding as GTA.

With the fully upgraded spear and good hole armor you can really mess with some people in the early area
maybe we will get saved loadouts for our ships. I can see that being very huge perk
Really hoping the ship upgrades will allow us to add more gun port slots to some ships…that would be great

They are killing the urge to want to keep my manufactories running. Or starting new ones. I have 340k coins of eights atm and ive unlocked everything in black market via weapons blueprints and everything clothes and all lol and got every upgrade for helm empire upgrades so hopefully they add more stuff i can buy but other then that i dont see a point to keep doing them IMO
I would love to have the Barque with its perk matched with the perk from the Sambuk. Hopefully we can make that happen!
I think one thing they should add to this game is armada as a form of guild and guild can own forts and u and your guild have to fight other players and npc to keep your guilds fronts and we should be able to add defenses and other upgrades to the fort and when your fort is raided say ether by npc or players it splits the guild m8 into two teams water defense and fort defense
It’d be cool if they’d allow the Dhow to turn into an explosive ship. Doubt it’ll happen tho
Bot ships, from your fleet for solo players. That would be an awesome add-on.

Its a shame this game has only become farming and upgrading... on top of that now also even having to defend your stuff which took hours to get and upgrade.... man

The amount of ship builds you can do to this compared to Black Flag is insane. In terms of ship combat Skull and Bones blows Black Flag out the water. Skull and Bones is not a AC game so STOP comparing the two
@@KingPlaty You’re missing the point, Black flag came out A DECADE ago and it still looks more interesting than this game. Island combat? Black flag wins. Actual boarding enemy boats? Black flag. So how come the AC game is better at making you a pirate than the Pirate game. I don’t care if the naval combat is phenomenal, the game is a pathetic embarrassment, that for being a self proclaimed quadruple A game, looks worse than a mobile game.
Ship upgrades are good but that is going to be a pain to have to stop whatever you are doing to defend a factory. I hate how this game tries to force players to play their way (Ubisoft's) rather then being a true open world and letting us (players) play the way we want to play. This was the whole purpose of having fleets to collect Po8 to eliminate the forced work that we have to do. In terms of ship upgrades I would think the need to let you get to close to level 15 if they want to allow more solo play against forts like Premie or Oosten. My hope is that Ubisoft doesn't return to how it was the first two weeks of the official game release when you couldn't sail from Saint Anne to Lanistra without being harassed by ships the entire time. My concern is that Ubisoft equates creating a challenge for players to adding more nuisance roadblocks like rouges and La Peste tanks every time you pick up more than 3,000 Po8. I hate to always be negative but if Ubisoft made a few simple fixes that it seems like a majority of their players seem to be asking for this game could be amazing
Never understood why le peste crew would chase me instead of rogues when collecting 8s. That made no sense

Must admit that when I first saw this mention of a new mode I thought it might have been allocating ships from our fleet to defend manufactories.....
Using the fleet ships for defending would be easier
This whole thing about our territories being attacked and damaging them and we'd have to defend them...I don't know about everyone else, but how are we supposed to do that. A normal person has to go to work, we can't be on 24/7
He did mention it only should happen when youre online but i agree, it is still annoying and extremely time consuming
I hope they eventually introduce multiple pvp matchmaking styles. Like 2v2 1v1 etc maybe even crazy shit like 10 v10 but so that you can pick a game type and get in line for standalone matches.

How do u upgrade the ship itself? Havnt seen much info fir that screen or how to get to it at least unless it hasnt started yet?
So we don't have the complete information on how to get upgrade parts apart from the ones you get from season end however it will just be a case of ship builder and required materials ✊🦜
Ubisoft is seriously trying to get us to quit playing the game
They do not seem to understand at all what makes a game fun
Can you imagine how much actual sailing around time will now be lost as we spend countless hours in yet more menu screens 'managing' our empire? :(
That river traversing speed perk gives me hopes that large ships are close and hopefully we see one mid season 2.

Pretty sure all ships should have 6 upgrades, thats what it says. I think maybe when you level up a ship, it wont always boost its base level. Its a bit confusing, but I am pretty sure the sloop in the picture is level 3 and going into level 4 for the upgrades. so that grey 3 and green 4 you see is not its base level at all, because you can see it says "upgrade level 4/6" highlighted in green indicating its going to be that after the upgrade.
Which would mean if each upgrade gave it a base level increase, that sloop should be level 6 actually since it starts at 3. So at some point during levels 1-3 it got 1 base level upgrade making it 4 and now here at 3->4 its getting a second to make it level 5.
So my assumption would be that medium ships and (large in the future) will get 6 upgrades, but they wont increase the base level by more than like 1 or 2, and instead most of the levels will give base stat increases and new perks.
Im sorry but ive started playing beta. And really enjoy this game. The grind to me is meh, but.... what we were told is that PO8 pick up wont be us anymore so we could get back to being a pirate. Well this is further from the truth. We want to sail to group up and do shit together not have to defend shit. If thats the case fuck it
wtf is Corsaire 1? I am Infamy lvl cutthroat which is past coarsier and my "ship upgrade" tab with the shipwright is still greyed out saying I need to be coarsier 1?
More siver if not funded but what is in the chest? More for a funded and less for a non funded? Time will tell how we need to play season two.
Give it a week people will have everything and the game will decline again I don't have high hopes. Xo

DW...look again at the rewards for a successful defense of the manufactory. If it IS funded you get a manufactory boost on top of the silver and chest. If it's not funded you don't get the boost. That's why you get more silver.
Well considering that currently, one can have a level 5 Snow upgraded to level 12 or maybe higher, (I have a level 12), I would imagine that levels may go higher than that. Because even at rank 5 a improvement by 6 would only have you at 11.
Then again my grasp of level vs ship rank is really weak.
So a week ago they said they was making it easier to maintain factories to generate pieces of 8 and cheaper and now it's tougher huh, yea don't give us what everyone in the game has been begging for instead give us some bull crap everyone is gonna hate on

Gonna need better drop rates for those rogue materials (Eel's Twine, Gannet's Saltpetre etc). I seem to have no problems getting Wyrm's Breath but the others don't seem to drop very often for me.
You can get Wyrm's breathe from a drop? If so, where?
@jamespetersen7214 the rogue ships when chosen from the attacks option in the helm (from the supply activities table), but they don't always have them as it is random.
