This song is just amazingly intricate and detailed, and you captured many, if not all, of those details/ while also covering the vocals. FANTASTIC JOB-- please cover some more Johnson/Patton if you get the time.

So for the really fast sequence of muted, when your down around 3rd fret, you're down picking with thumb and up with finger? I love Robert Johnson but some of these muted sequences are what I have a really hard time with. I've never seen anyone do Robert Johnson as well as you do.

StreetFightingMan1967 sorry for the late answer..I think the better advice I could give you is, as you wrote you already know all the riffs he plays, is simply try not to replicate him...as Robert didn't want to replicate his heroes too..just take the good ideas of robert and put your own spice on it...;)try not to think, when you play this song, to do everything in the proper way etc...this song is called preching blues and I think it's the best lyrics about what blues means..so when you play it..focus mainly about what the blues means to you,and let it flow outside from you just like you are curing yourself while you playin...my advice it's more spiritual..robert should remain an inspiration,not somebody to copy..;)
one more thing...I think that the most important thing is that when you play this tune, just preach the blues...just sing it describing it..pray for it..you know what I mean? ;)Maybe I play well this tune just because the words Robert wrote are exacly the same I would have used...we shouldn't try to reproduce it not by note...but get into the spirit of this song, yes...just think about the blues and what it means to you,,,and if you got it, use the guitar, sing this song to keep away the blues from you and the result would be perfect...;)
