Jana, do you not use a 35mm, 24 1.2, or 85 on wedding days? Sometimes I feel like I need to pair down my lenses since I use all of them on wedding day! Thanks again for all the info!! Maybe I should start shooting film again!
Film is definitely fun! I like that it makes me slow down a bit and compose each shot. I think overall it makes us better photographers too! Currently, I'm using the lenses I shared in this video but it's totally up to you on what you think works better for your style and current camera set up! 50mm is my preferred prime lens.
Thank you Jana! Do you have any links to these products? Thank you so much for the info! I have been dragging my feet on getting a drone, but I think I’m going to try it out this summer! I think you just cost me a lot of money 💰😂 because now I also want to buy a new film camera!!
hahaha! Camera gear truly is an investment and the drone shots are fun to throw in the album for some different perspectives. I bought most of my Canon equipment through their website www.usa.canon.com/cameras or Best Buy. You can find some awesome film cameras in locally owned shops! I suggest looking around your area to score some amazing film cameras at good prices. I often prefer being able to see the camera in my actual hand before buying but online retailers like Adorama www.adorama.com/Used is solid too!
Thank you Jana, I am wondering best cases for lens. I have been using a lowe pro backpack, and trying to pack it for the different shooting I will be doing, primarily wildlife. But I always find myself wishing I had one of the lens I didn't bring. Most my lens are now faster lens and as you know they can get heavy. Do you have any suggestions that you have used for cases for your lens, flashes... It would be nice to have a large assortment left in the car that I could always get back to, if circumstances change what I am shooting at.
Good point! Personally on wedding days I bring a roller camera bag and also wear a dual camera harness. That way I always have my 2 cameras with my 2 go-to lenses already on. In the roller bag I pack up my extra lenses to switch out and my film cameras. For wildlife photography you probably need something a little bigger and more protective for the environment you're working in. I suggest looking up Pelican Camera Cases. They come in a lot of different sizes, are water/dust proof and pretty strong!
@@JanaWilliams Thank you for the reply. I guess I will just have to bite the bullet and get a Pelican. Since you brought it up it would be nice to know more about the dual camera harness you use and if you have tried others and why you find them the best. I would rather have the opinion of those that use them for a living and know what works and what doesn't. Probably a film here just on camera harnesses. Have a wonderful Sunday.
I would recommend these two two! They're on Amazon and have some great options for custom needs: www.amazon.com/Adapter-Fujifilm-Concept-Yashica-Mirrorless/dp/B00YBGRJTY or www.amazon.com/Urth-Gobe-Lens-Mount-Adapter/dp/B088C3847S/
Oh my goodness, I thought I was the only one shooting films on 2023 . Thanks for sharing
Wicked cool video! You're doing great things! 😊
Aw thanks friend! I'll keep making these when I switch things out moving forward.
Can you do a video on how you use the continuous light? Why do you use it instead of an off camera flash?

I love my r6
Me too!!
So do I! It's been fun to be able to use both the R5 and R6. Love them both!
Such a great setup, Jana! I’ve been eying that GFX too. Can I ask which adapter you went with for using the contax 80 with gfx?
