Not sure if you are aware, but their genesis was in a JTBC Korean Tv competition PHANTOM SINGER 2 (2017) looking to form a crossover quartet. They auditioned from far and wide incl overseas, mainly classically trained applicants, but amateurs were allowed as well. Forestella is made up of 2 fully trained opera singers with Masters Degree in Music for Voice, A musical and theatre actor with a Bachelor degree in Music - Voice who is a baritone tenor and is versatile in r&b, rock and pop and one member with no formal music education, but who has a degree in chemical engineering and also has a solo ROCK identity as PITTA. Had been in bands since middle school all the way to a band at work honing his skills singing and playing guitar. I will leave you to search further details …too much to fit here! If u already knew this, that’s great …if not I hope it gives you a greater appreciation of why they are not technically K-pop, but it is how some are starting to refer to them as, because they look like idols and have appeared on some really big K-pop stages and opened music award shows with incredible presence and staging. They have recently released a one off K-pop style original m/v as a promise to fans should their m/v Save our Lives reach 900 000 views …it did so they kept their promise!. They are known for incredible live performances and their concert tickets are sought after. They have some mindblowing original m/vs as well which are worth looking at in chronological order…the Utopia one especially requires 3 to 4 views …you’ll see why. Check UA-cam for Forestory…gives you a peek behind the scenes… look for the one with English subtitles.😊Please spread the word about them …more people need to know about their awe inspiring music and performances.
I'm a huge fan of forestella but no need to spit on Kpop, they are also singer. Often with better training than western artists, try to sing and dance at the same time (I know they do play back sometimes but you can find example where they clearly don't)

Wild to hear an obscure anime opener written by a Japanese woman for a 20 year old anime sung in Russian, English, and Latin, get covered by South Koreans in a singing competition. Wild.
Ah … and this is exactly what Forestella does! They are adventurous and curious and sometimes experimental and refuse to be pigeon-holed in order to express their creativity and eclectic tastes❤ I love this about them! You never know what is coming next. But you soon learn it will be great.❤ They do their research and are practice freaks by own admission and as witnessed by their competitors and peers. Have you seen their version of Lazenca, Save Us… also a theme to a game but made famous by the Korean rock band N.E.X.T in 1997 I believe. Then there is their version of Legends Never Die, from League of Legends fame.

I love this version of the song better than the original and I loved the original when I was watching Ghost in the Shell. These guys just really amped it up and made it their own. I am always so awed by their vocals. I wish that I had that type of singing range for my vocal chords. But mine r suited to more traditional pop music.
There there is literally nothing better than origas original singing performance of this song. Have some fucking respect for someone that passed away that was literally one of the best vocal artists of her era . In 200 years literally no one will remember this performance but they will still remember her……wtf is wrong with you …..

They are real singers so of course they are better than Kpop groups vocally.
