I became their fan at the age of 10 (I actually read the lyrics to No More Dream and since I was a little rebellious as a kid ..I sorta toke a liking to it ? XD but yes , I'm a proud OG army !) , So for me to see this performance is seriously a throwback to how everything was before 2015 (or 2016 if you may ,since they won their first award then). On a side note... You have no freaking idea how long it toke for armys from that time to finally understand the BU . I remember almost tearing up when we could finally make sense of the whole thing!

BTS literally brought stars and the whole Galaxy 🌌 to the army! This is how big their vision is and how loving they are as people. They wanted to bring alive what they see in their heart and let us see the same thing. Not even the sky is the limit but the Galaxy and beyond. you finally witnessed this masterpiece!!!! and you are right; the grammys could never!! side note, some of the performances were pre-recorded i think, like mikrokosmos (for the costume change), some bits of persona (hence the video effects), some of the solo stages (like jk's coz of the water), and the horse segment (to protect them from the noise i think) also the seven lights actually make up the corona borealis (north crown) constellation, which in greek mythology was a crown gifted by dionysus to ariadne, who later wore it at her marriage to dionysus 🥰basically, it's like the boys' declaration of love for armys 💜

This is by far my favorite reaction video! I had the exact same reaction and it feels good to know I wasn’t the only one! A rollercoaster of emotions! A few things: - I showed this performance (all 40 minutes of it lol) to the production team I work with since I knew they’d appreciate how amazing it is. They were thinking the MMA editors might have layered the graphics in Mikrokosmos over the live video, but then in a later bangtan bomb, it shows parts of it were prerecorded-so, even though they did perform mikrokosmos live, they -also- did an earlier prerecord to get all the cg together. The production team I work with was also blown away at how quick all the camera work was and at all the graphics they had to put together for the bajillions of screens on each stage. - The I Need U remix is on Spotify as a “podcast episode” so you can add it to your playlist! It’s called “I Need U Jimin MMA Version.” I’m also pretty sure there’s an hour loop of it on UA-cam! - I don’t even think any Super Bowl performance could top this! (Unless it was BTS, obvs.) Every time I hear about how US award show ratings are dropping, I just keep thinking, “Look at the MAMAs and MMAs! They know how it’s supposed to be done!”

Finally Landon finally! Did we tell you or did we not tell you? This is completely and utterly something that I hadn’t seen before in my entire life and once I have seen this, I couldn’t see the world the same way ever! It’s literally changed my life and my brain. I need to see this happen to other people like you haha. I knew you would give it the reaction it deserves. I’m not satisfied with some other youtubers who pretend they still have their sanity intact after watching this, who would try to find words to describe or worse critique it. Landon you singing the lyrics, doing the choreos is everything for me. Btw at these award shows, specially long performances like this, there's always some pre-recorded footage in the middle. Here, Mikrokosmos and JK's solo were pre-recorded and shown on the big screen, like the VCRs. The scene where the horses appear was also pre-recorded, they did it live too for the audience tho, but without the horses

Just a fun fact the one that you say was a smile was actually a constellation. “In Greek Mythology, Corona Borealis was linked to the legend of Theseus and the minotaur. With each member representing a different greek god. Taehyung is seen dancing under the sunrise and bright daylight with spotlights in the shape of sun rays. Also, Taehyung’s happy and optimistic personality would fit perfectly as Apollo. Jin is shown riding a trojan horse, with back-up dances, reassembling an army of soldiers. Perfectly depicting the god of war, Ares. Jimin has always been known to break gender norms, as he performs a soft and graceful dance (which women are known to do). Dancing under the moonlight dressed in white, perfectly depicting the goddess of the moon, Artemis. But, Artemis and Apollo are twin siblings, almost like how Jimin and Taehyung were born in the same year. Both being very close ever since. Also they alsp performed a song which is We are Bulletproof pt. 2 on MMA which is a clue for We are bulletproof the eternal. As you noticed the shadow at the vcr, they were hinting their next album which is supposed to be Map of the Soul: shadow but it turned out that shadow is a song by yoongi. Instead of releasing the map of the soul as trilogy like persona, shadow and ego, they just combined it to one album which is Map of the Soul: 7. Always remember that BTS and Bighiit love to hint their next concept, album, single on the vcr played on MAMA and MMA, even other end of the year korean award shows like GDA. Small Info: the lights that were sliding down 1 by 1 during the solo stages were not actually forming a smiley face lol, it was a star constellation called "Corona Borealis" which is related to the Greek Mythology about Dionysus and the other gods....and well we all know that's the main concept of the song "Dionysus". Each of the members represented a Greek god forming the constellation.

first all this performance is incredible second of all the grammy's could never and third the fact that Suga and Jin killed that dance break makes me so proud. You should definitely watch the Bangtan episode of this performance as well as the dance practice with the dance break and the dance practice with the solo performance. This is completely and utterly something that I hadn’t seen before in my entire life and once I have seen this, I couldn’t see the world the same way ever! It’s literally changed my life and my brain. I need to see this happen to other people like you haha. I knew you would give it the reaction it deserves. I’m not satisfied with some other youtubers who pretend they still have their sanity intact after watching this, who would try to find words to describe or worse critique it. I need to see someone having a complete life crisis like I did. At this point, no words are ever enough and we just need to let BTS take over our body and take us wherever they want and be GRATEFUL. Be grateful that something as phenomenal as this ever existed on this earth.
Grammy hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣 is so small I just got to laugh. I saw this performance early on and ever since I really didn’t care about any award shows in the western world. Why would BTS ever need a Grammy when this is already the level they’re at? Way more advanced than the rest of the world? I wonder if the Grammy people have ever seen this and be embarrassed for their ignorance. They are not even qualified to “award” BTS with anything. They need to go to one of the MMA shows and LEARN how this is done. Get the authority hierarchy straight please. BTS are performing KINGS, giants. Nobody gets to disrespect or belittle them after performances like this. Did the Grammy even support BTS to perform at this level or they low key didn’t want them to outshine other artists at the show? If anyone can’t provide a stage this big and support this level of production, then they don’t deserve BTS to grace their show.

Btw at these award shows, specially long performances like this, there's always some pre-recorded footage in the middle. Here, Mikrokosmos and JK's solo were pre-recorded and shown on the big screen, like the VCRs. The scene where the horses appear was also pre-recorded, they did it live too for the audience tho, but without the horses

Just a fun fact the one that you say was a smile was actually a constellation. “In Greek Mythology, Corona Borealis was linked to the legend of Theseus and the minotaur. It was generally considered to represent a crown given by Dionysus to Ariadne, the daughter of Minos of Crete, after she had been abandoned by the Athenian prince” This is very interesting, as this constellation has seven stars, the same exact number of members in BTS. With each member representing a different greek god. Taehyung is seen dancing under the sunrise and bright daylight with spotlights in the shape of sun rays. Also, Taehyung’s happy and optimistic personality would fit perfectly as Apollo. Jin is shown riding a trojan horse, with back-up dances, reassembling an army of soldiers. Perfectly depicting the god of war, Ares. Jimin has always been known to break gender norms, as he performs a soft and graceful dance (which women are known to do). Dancing under the moonlight dressed in white, perfectly depicting the goddess of the moon, Artemis. But, Artemis and Apollo are twin siblings, almost like how Jimin and Taehyung were born in the same year. Both being very close ever since. In many past music videos, Yoongi has always found himself surrounded by fire. Such as in “I Need U” and “Fake Love”. Which could represent either his anger or passion towards a certain subject. It’s like how Namjoon brought all of the BTS members together, too.
Also have you notice that during the dance break they are playing N.O. it is a hint for their next single which is ON. Also they alsp performed a song which is We are Bulletproof pt. 2 on MMA which is a clue for We are bulletproof the eternal. As you noticed the shadow at the vcr, they were hinting their next album which is supposed to be Map of the Soul: shadow but it turned out that shadow is a song by yoongi. Instead of releasing the map of the soul as trilogy like persona, shadow and ego, they just combined it to one album which is Map of the Soul: 7. Always remember that BTS and Bighiit love to hint their next concept, album, single on the vcr played on MAMA and MMA, even other end of the year korean award shows like GDA.

This is my fav performance of all time, I'll never forget the night I watched it live (at 5 AM) and cried so loud that I woke up my roommates lol. But it was magical! I felt so good and SO PROUD afterwards, no one could touch me
I just knew your little dubstep heart was gonna be hanging on by a thread with this whole performance. From Hobert Anthony's Fake Love to the Dionysus masterpiece. They needed a Tony, An Oscar and a Grammy just for this performance stage.

Small Info: the lights that were sliding down 1 by 1 during the solo stages were not actually forming a smiley face lol, it was a star constellation called "Corona Borealis" which is related to the Greek Mythology about Dionysus and the other gods....and well we all know that's the main concept of the song "Dionysus". Each of the members represented a Greek god forming the constellation.
