Finally, a video about titration that of decent quality, there are so many titration videos out there with faulty information.

Thank you. I know this is long ago however, would you consider doing a part 6 to show the calcuation aspect ?

you can rinse that down? wont it affect the concentration of the solution? pls reply thankyou

It does change the concentration inside the flask but it *does not* change the volume which is required from the burette. You should use the wash bottle sparingly, i.e. swirl the flask to catch droplets which splash on the inner walls during the titration and then only at the very end use the wash bottle to catch any last drops still hanging off the tip of the burette or still hanging on the inner wall of the flask, this is also because when you record a titre value the volume is treated as having left the burette and completely entered and reacted with the contents in the flask.
In saying that, if you use a large volume of water you can expect some indicators to change colour which is NOT what you want; this is because it DOES affect the concentration inside the flask and acid-base indicators are concentration dependent.

Mr Soh do u teach at MRGS? I go to MRGS (new student) and am in yr 12, ive got a practical coming up in 2 days... and i just wanted to say ur vids are really helpful :D

      Hi Rinnie!
YES, I used to teach at MRGS. I also used to be a student at MRGS.
The bench in that video is a bench from S10, all equipment is also the same gear that you guys use in your internal. Who knows... when you pick up a flask or burette in 2 days, it could very well be the same burette in that video :O :O
      That's pretty skuxxxx ;-)
