Out of the Big Four Megadeth is by far the most technical of the lot Rust in Peace is Heavy Metal techinal masterpiece it's also a pain in the ass to learn how to play

Best guitar player Metallica ever had.
It's a blessing in disguise they let him go. Now we have two great metal bands instead of one. Kirk does a damn good job on lead, but there's no denying Dave has a technical mastery over most other lead/vocals out there.

I'm eternally grateful I got to see this line up in person. Back then we thought this line up would be Megadeth forever more because it was so strong. No one would ever have believed this version of the band could even have a shelf life.

I saw that tour in Vancouver Canada, Halloween night . Megadeth finished their gig with ' Anarchy in the UK'
During Judas Priest, there were fireworks & home made bombs going off all night in the old pacific coliseum , shit was exploding on the floor, walls, hitting the ceiling, stuff would land onstage & blow up , awesome party !

I saw them on this tour in Minnesota with Suicidal Tendencies. That was one of the most impressive shows I've ever been to. Just technical perfection and top notch thrash metal all the way around, from both bands.
Rust in Peace will go down as the crown jewel of thrash records. No damn doubt.

Saw them on this tour together with Pantera. It was the first time europe witnessed the almighty power of Pantera. They truly stole the show, even if this was Megadeth at their peak with the best line-up they ever had.
Marty Friedman at his best..... Pure thrash metal.... Hands off to Megadeth... U shud check on his own album "hands of time" One of the best I should say...
Marty is pure virtuoso. My own favourite is his solo album Dragons Kiss before Megadeth era. Also Speed Metal Symphony by Cacophony when Marty playd with Jason Becker damn it´s tight shit!

When the "crunch" mattered...when the vocals mattered...when the guitar shredding mattered...and when the bass, and the drums punched a fkn hole through your chest as your face became separated from your skull. Never will there come another time like the 80's and 90's when Speed/Thrash Metal reached their pinnacle. There was Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Overkill (who absolutely should get a hell of a lot more respect and attention), Metal Church, Possessed, Testament, Death Angel, Sepeltura, Pantera, Kreator, Voivod, Destruction, Machinehead, Flotsam and Jetsam, Exodus, Sodom, Annihilator, Nuclear Assault, etc, etc. Everybody feel free to add to the list. No way in hell I could list even 1% of what was out there. Arguably, the BEST duration of time within my almost fifty-seven years of life. Apologies for the ratchet-jawing...the "music" is the cause.
The music is great, but the way Mustaine looks to the crowd... breathtaking... ;)

The drumming in this tune is fuckin sick menza was the engine man. Tempo changes crazy. Fuck Metallica these dudes are deadly. My fave lineup but they always had that guitar player. Poland Freedman Broderick always one. Should of added a 3rd guitarist and they would have been untouchable. I know Dave tried too get Jeff Waters from Annihilator at one time .That would have been sick. There's a dude too check out Jeff Waters. Deadly. Peace from Ottawa Canada
