      Can you tell me if the steering from a 2012 Argo will work on my 01’ Bigfoot. It looks just like what you installed.

    Hi I tried contacting argo adventure but they don't have the bracket anymore if you plan to fabricate one I would buy it cuz the conversion from old to new seems ideal

      We've been busy setting up my Pole Barn with a concrete floor and loft. I too think this is a better steering system than the individual lever system from Argo. Once we get out shop up and running I do intend to make a few of these parts Argo no longer makes.

    I would so like to do this to mine & this is by far the most informative video on the MX hardware.
    What are your thoughts on the master cylinder seals? I have the same Grimeca master but cannot buy just tfe seals which sucks..

    • @2artactical55
      @2artactical55  Рік тому

      I bought a master cylinder rebuild kid that came with extra stiff (upgraded) springs and Seals. I also rebuilt my Calipers with new Seals. I also noticed that I can take this upgraded MX handlebar set up and upgrade it even further by replacing the current master cylinders with the one's Argo is using with it's APS system. I too would have a smoother APS steering in an older 2000 model. If you need Seals in the master cylinders, then I'd replace them even if you can only get the seals in a full rebuild kit. Braking and steering can't be done without good working master cylinders. I'm glad you liked the video and found it useful also. Thanks!

    Fabricate me the whole set, these should have never been discontinued :( Driving down hill in rough terrain where you NEED hand brakes and a solid arm to hold on to is essential for these types of vehicles. Now if it were a zero turn lawn mower where you're on mostly flat ground and easy terrain all the time, yes levers would be just fine and probably even better. But for an XTV? phhhh absolutely not. Where can I get me this or similar conversion? You could make a killing if you have the ability to duplicate all the parts ;)

      @2artactical55  Рік тому

      Thanks. For now you can still get the parts or most of them from argoadventure.com. everything to do the conversion cost me a bit over $780. We are going to fabricate a steering system like this for my sons 2001 Argo Bigfoot. I'm sure we'll be doing a video of it when we do.

    Hi, Where did you get that kit? Ive been looking for a while and can't find it.

    • @2artactical55
      @2artactical55  Рік тому

      It's not a "kit" anymore. I had to look at the 2005 parts list and pick out everything separately to order. I got it all from "argo adventure" online. All the parts to do this conversion were over $800us.
      It was totally worth it, though, in my book! I can actually drive with one hand unless I need to pull the brake lever to stop.
      I'm going to add a short brake lever style Throttle for it also. You will need brake lines at least 3" longer than standard.

      @user-hz3cj8hj7e hmmm. Sounds like I'm gonna make a casting of mine and reproduce it for my 2001 Argo Bigfoot.
      They told me I got some of thier last parts when I ordered mine. Most of the bolts and nuts they didn't have anymore so I looked up the bolts on the Argo Parts list and acquired them at Tractor Suppy store.

      I do on my receipt. I gathered the parts #s I needed to order from the Argo Parts schematic sheets for a 2005 Argo Bigfoot. They are free PDF downloads, including the repair/maintenance manuals on argoadventure.com. They are who I ordered all the parts from as well. I did post the blow-up parts list sheets at the end of this video as well.

      @magnus1988 here's the test drive video for the steering handlebars. I also did a seprate video for installing the 24" Argo swim tires to show that the bigger tires will fit. But here's the video of it all together and being tested on various terrain.
