I tried the demo in the Apple Store and it FAR exceeded any expectations I had going in! I have the XREAL air glasses and they are really nice to have for when Im traveling and staying in hotels for work but it cannot compare to the sheer power of the AVP. I would absolutely LOVE to get one for myself just for the 3D video playback ALONE! Taking videos with the AVP and literally being able to relive them in the future or even shooting on the iPhone Pro is just a major win for me as my child grows up. However the downside to that is of course the question of how truly in the moment. you are when doing something like that. Im definitely the kind of person that takes pictures and records every moment in life and I know I'll be thankful for it in the future but I also don't want to get too consumed in the technology. 4:00 We need a lens protector, something that magnetically attaches like the Zeiss inserts do. Can't be that expensive for a 3rd party to come up with a solution. Combine that with the front cover cushion/protector that comes with Vision Pro, it should be pretty easy to just find a place in a travel backpack/laptop backpack for a compacted down Vision Pro and the battery without needing the Vision Pro travel case.
This was the best use case for my Nreal Air glasses I love using them when traveling. While I am sure this is a better experience I will say traveling with something like this is so much fun :)
I'm honestly surprised you weren't given a harder time for using a video camera, aimed at everyone around you, during a flight. If they KNEW you were recording... I have to question if they'd allow it in a space like that. Edit: and by camera I mean the AVP, not your selfie cam view.
Not trying to be rude at all love the video. You said "At the airplane" multiple times. The correct way would be "On the airplane" :) You would be "At the airport, getting On the plane" Awesome video mate.
2:38 This is a myth, and it's wrong. The distance of the display doesn't affect, it just depends on the amount of light that arrives to your eyes, and the AVP maxes at 500 nits (5000 nits before passing through pancake lenses and without counting persistence). The only thing that matters for your eyes getting tired is focus distance. It's not good to maintain the same focus distance for long periods of time, but you can solve this by placing the video window more far from you, or closer.
I think realistically the cheapest the Vision Pro would ever get is $2250, there are quite a few expensive components on it, and unless they segment it down to other variants e.g. Non Pro versions, it will likely always be more expensive than the iPhone, and slightly less than an entry level Macbook Pro.
Honestly, Disney must have been more than excited when Netflix and UA-cam decided not to develop for the Vision Pro. they are being childish, I feel. Sure it's a very small user base right now and isn't going to add many more customers immediately. But Disney will get the experience and hype all to itself in the time being. Good for them though, they always believed in Apple
idk if he is trying to oversell it for his channel or hes a just a huge apple fan. But this product was not hyped it has been very quiet i would say to the general public is as if this isnt even out and its still a ipad/iphone/watch world
It's pretty cool, but people are not used to seeing something like this. I can imagine when cellphones became popular, maybe it was the same reaction as seeing a person talking alone in the middle of the street.
People had been using phones for decades when cell phones came on the scene. No one was shocked by cell phones. That is why they become popular, they served a legitimate purpose.
People need to stop with the “your eyes are close to the displays, therefore your eyes fatigue” This is untrue. The viewing distance of what you’re watching is what matters. If you watch a movie but place the window far away, it would be the equivalent of seeing something that far away.
So i could buy quest 3 or visor from immersed and for 500€ and i can have 3-5 screens from mabook and be more productive. It is really worth vision pro? 🤔
It's really not. People keep pretending like it's brand new never before seen technology just because Apple made it. To be clear, it's a phenomenal VR headset, definitely appears to be one of the best standalone headsets ever created. But at the end of the day it's still just a VR headset. It's not exactly new technology. The quest 3 will offer you 70% of the experience at a fraction of the price.
@@shizzywizzy6169 Well, to be fair, what Apple still is able to do is to this day their UX design. Swiping your finger somewhere else than in front of you, to scroll in a list, and just looking at a button to be able to click it with your hand making a double tap gesture somewhere else? I love their attention to experience detail. I know, very pricey, but well made (comparing to Quest - I have a Q2)
Apple's approach is better than Microsoft's headset. Microsoft is trying to blend the virtual world into the real, whereas Apple is trying to blend the real world into the virtual.
I absolutely agree with you 100%. I cannot stop talking about mine. I love it. I haven’t even picked up my MacBook since I been using my Vision Pro. It’s so exciting. This is the precipice of where this technology is going and we’re a part of it. So excited and I find that I’m even more productive than I was before. Great review. 🎉
I tried it yesterday and I liked it, and hated it. They couldn’t let me use the screen reader (they wanted to but Apple didn’t script the demo to allow for it, and they wanted their employees reading it verbatim), which is not what I wanted to try. They’re showing the immersive movies etc. I see this being a wonderful assistive technology for people with disabilities, myself included being visually impaired, and that’s how I went into it. With the right software, for instance: because of the depth sensors? It could provide me with an extra bare, in addition to my cane, so I don’t bump into stuff (my right eye is gone), it could also be a high contrast immersive navigation system (hardware 2 revision because I don’t think this has GPS). So my hope is they clean up their demo and allow for more flexibility. I’m also waiting on the Apple Vision “Air” because for me, the Pro was heavy. I do have high hopes for this technology, though. :-)
Thank you so much for this comment. I never even considered how transformative this will be for the vision impaired once app developers focus on that market. It can also aid the deaf. Someone can probably program the Vision Pro to verbalize sign language through the speakers, letting someone sign to anyone and then transcribe what they say back inside the headset.
@@ruzaroos in my day to day job, as well as my personal life, accessibility plays a big role as I have a family member who is almost deaf, I am visually impaired, and I have another relative who has dyslexia, so I have personal experience with a lot of different disabilities. So I am in complete agreement, I could see this very easily providing captions for someone who is deaf, and if someone is deaf and blind, they could get information through an external braille display.
I don't understand how it allows you to just film people all the time? I find that quite invasive for others, is there some form of indicator? Or is this going to be a repeat of google glasses lol
You know before people used to close their eyes and use their imagination to immerse themselves into different scenes, now we let others think for us so we can stop using our brain and become the consuming machines that advertisers really dream of ...
Yea VR/AR headsets are that amazing but wait until more apps that will be made for it from ground up and you'll be even more amazed than using the device for the first time
well you are 100% the type of person i would expect to buy one of these, and use it on a plane. you should look up the word decorum. and possibly think about how you could apply it to your life.
I really don't understand why people voluntarily isolate themselves even more with this thing and visit a shrink or therapist at the same time because they feel so lonely.
I am wondering if you turned the travel mode on. Apple says that Vision Pro should detect when you are on the plane, and turn the travel mode automatically, but I didn't hear a word about it in this video. Maybe that was the issue with centring? Also, why not use individual lighting of the chair when the plane interior goes dark, just to make it easier for Vision Pro to see around?
For me, I think the coolest feature that will very likely be added in time...is artists releasing albums with fully immersive visuals to accompany the album. something like a movie/music video hybrid. that'll be really cool.
So concerning that you can record members of the public and they do not know, if I was that flight attendant I don't think i would feel comfortable being in your field of view. Not sure how a product like this would survive under EU regulations.

It's not good to maintain the same focus distance for long periods of time, but you can solve this by placing the video window more far from you, or closer.
Gotta sell a kidney real quick
Okay, hear me out; Psychedelic mushrooms, and the Apple Vision Pro
Can I ask how you get footage while you’re playing DRM content? I can never screen record while movies are playing
As you can see, he plays only Apple TV+ content. So he probably got a deal with Apple to allow him to do that. Perks of being an influencer.
I think Apple will sell these as fast as they can make them for the next year or so. They’ve already sold ~200,000 and it’s only available in the USA.
idk if he is trying to oversell it for his channel or hes a just a huge apple fan.
Finally someone who explain this!!! I tried all of it today. It insanelly goood!!!!!!!!!
People need to stop with the “your eyes are close to the displays, therefore your eyes fatigue”
This is untrue. The viewing distance of what you’re watching is what matters. If you watch a movie but place the window far away, it would be the equivalent of seeing something that far away.
Exactly. It is the same with the Meta Quest. You have to try these headsets to really understand.
Flight attendant showing what to do in an emergency (0:06)
Nikias: How about going to the theatre? :D
Microsoft is trying to blend the virtual world into the real,
whereas Apple is trying to blend the real world into the virtual.
Thank you for that amazing video review
"Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the review."
There's definitely a black mirror episode here where everyone is wearing a VR google on the train.
Planning to get my second Vision Pro.
"Looks like the perfect travel companion! 👌"
second??? Big baller over here!
Liar 😂
A ton of people are returning their vision pro because it was to heavy, and people were complaining about headaches after prolonged use.
Not you going into VR mode during the safety talk @ 00:05 💀
"...now we let others think for us..." You should stop letting others think for you.
when i saw the thumbnail i thought this was gonna be a parody video made by Trevor Wallace LOL
Such an amazing product apple, this really is the future!!
Very pricey, but for how revolutionary it is, its honestly worth it!
Not for the mainstream consumer it isn't worth it. It's not made to be mainstream anyways. It's practically a consumer dev kit.
"Wow, the future of travel looks incredible!"
Yea VR/AR headsets are that amazing but wait until more apps that will be made for it from ground up and you'll be even more amazed than using the device for the first time
Your eyes are not optically that close the the screen. The lenses trick your eyes into seeing a range of focal distances.
You Vision Pro content so far have been 🔥
"Woah, that sounds like an amazing experience!"
well you are 100% the type of person i would expect to buy one of these, and use it on a plane.
you should look up the word decorum. and possibly think about how you could apply it to your life.
The woman checking herself out during the travel case part😂
I wonder if she knew he was recording 😂
This is an amazing overlook, thank you
Does this stuff run terminal?
4 thousand dollars , 4 thousand dollars bro made sure we knew the price 😂
"Wow! I can't believe how many people were looking at how amazing and cool I am for having a $4000 headset! They all think I'm amazing, it's crazy!"
Yeah, I remember my first time trying VR too.
Love my 1tb AVP! Can’t wait to watch the Super Bowl with Vision Pro😊
Same!
by yourself? LOL
@@chriswebbtech😂
@@chriswebbtechHe might be watching with his friend that have AVP online
@@toututu2993 yeah. No. Can’t even do that on it 😂
Imagine if its affordable to everyone, the world will never be the same.
For me, I think the coolest feature that will very likely be added in time...is artists releasing albums with fully immersive visuals to accompany the album. something like a movie/music video hybrid. that'll be really cool.
Great video Nik, great story telling
So cool. I love feeling your enthusiasm and excitement. This is so exciting!
on some commercial flights is a PSA that prohibits use of power banks on planes...
Distance to your eyes does not change eye strain. Brightness is what causes eye strain.
0:05 NOOOOOOOOO!!! Pay attention to the cabin crew first !!!
So concerning that you can record members of the public and they do not know, if I was that flight attendant I don't think i would feel comfortable being in your field of view. Not sure how a product like this would survive under EU regulations.
i LOVE the look with the hood on. god, people look incredibly goofy with the cord sticking out infront of them all the time
The tv and your surroundings vibrate when you move your head. I think this can be fixed with an action mode. It needs improved stabilization.
Thanks for making Vision Pro content man, amazing review
excellent exactly whats needed to know
Definitely waiting for next version
