I dedicated my first book (Drumstick Spinology) to Mr. Houghton.
His influence on my drumming, personality, and practice routine was immense.
I studied with him for a year at MI in 1987 !!!!!
He, Gary Willis, and Scott Henderson would often grace the stage and blow our minds. 😍

Houghton was the drummer on early Tribal Tech albums (Dr Hee for instance).
    Check them out they're magnificent.

Rhythm and beats and tempo are very important engine to drum. Without metronome, 🥁 drum can also make strict rhythm and strict beats and strict tempo.

Play Drum themselves to beats and rhythm and Tempo production are metronome.

Good drummer!! You drummers ever notice that its easy to flip the butt end around to play during your playing but a little harder to get it back around. At least for me,anyhow.

Playing with feel, define style, be aware of melody, make your playing effective inside a ensemble

half this stuff i dont consider a solo because its just ghost notes and delayed rhythms.
