so I built the wall too close to the curved part of the floor/cyclorama wall so it wasn't standing straight... the domino lines falling on top of the wall was enough to trigger it early :/ It was a pretty strange topple, but hey, at least it all fell! Let me know what you thought of this project. Might rebuild it sometime in the future or make a different design!

A vote for remake. Also see if you can refine the top of wall + wall chase collapse for deliberate use later.

I'm kinda suprised that i learned stuff about this project that I didn't know before this video! :D for example, the intricacies on the crossing part of the walls and also of the lines on top. And the final analysis of the early topple of the wall was really interesting!

Yes build it again! Next time tape all the dominoes to the stairs and make sure the speedwalls are straight!
we certainly will! next time I won't build near the curved part of the floor. and go figure.. we tested the dominoes untaped on the staircase and they didn't fall off, but of course when we did it for real they fell off :( But the issue was more just the floor.
All your designs are always brilliant. Having one that doesn't fall as planned makes it very interesting. Keep it up. I enjoy watching your videos.

Not everything works on the 1st try, but that work you and smiley put in was phenomenal, and I really wish it did fall as plan, but other than it was amazing, like when the line on the speed wall falls when the speed wall itself falls, pretty funny. i think rebuild it because people were really looking forward to the build and it happened to fall. Maybe do it without the white background so you don't get the incline near the edge so your not that limited to space.

Do it gain lily! And change the colors the same like triple spiral because i love the color🥺I know you can do it! When I saw the original video, I could tell that the way it fell wasn't planned, but I thought it still looked really cool in the way that it did.

Hmm, I'd say you should rebuild it again (if you feel doing like to)
I know this is a year old but I'd love to see the rebuild again using H5 Domino Creations, I can tell that it'll fall perfectly than before
But it's up to you and I don't mind at all, can't wait to see more bigger projects from you :)

I'm sure there's something clever you can do with the idea of one line of dominoes falling and being chased by another structure immediately under or above it. Pity the thing didn't perform as planned, but that's a very rich idea, I'm sure.

I sometimes actually use that strategy at 5:05 for my domino setups, even before I saw this video.

I was wondering if wall height matters in something like this? If your spiral arms are, say, 12 inches apart from each other, shouldn't the wall be no higher than 12 inches? That way a wall failure doesn't take out the wall next to it just due to height. This is not intended as criticism; I'm just clueless when it comes to domino builds! Also, my 7-year old granddaughter and I love to sit and watch your videos together. She's absolutely fascinated!

Yes. Rebuild it. You have some engineering hurdles to overcome. You have done the analysis. Now write up the corrective actions and integrate them into the new build. Best wishes.

awww! The spiral toppled too early... It was still cool though! For the rebuild, I think it will look better if the domino lines of the field between the domino speedwalls are a little closer together. If you look at the end of the video where you can click on the next video, you can compare the 2 spirals really good! Mabye this will help you if you want to rebuild it! :D
Cosider the dominos on top have momentum if to much goes on ones side the force will push the dominos underneath to the side making the wall fall early

So, to me, the triple spiral was the three methods (field, top line, wall). This was using the same three methods but since it was two at once, I'd call it the double-triple (if it fell right). And, yes, it's a lot of work but I'd love to see it fall as planned.
i read about you on schoollastic for my school at home because my school closed because of the corona virus so i am doing school online for probably 8 weeks

Ah whatever I guess 😂 anyway, I just now got around to watching the double quadruple something something spiral and, yeah I can see what you mean by it not falling in the way you wanted it to... But it was still an incredible setup none the less Lily! And on the plus side, now you know for next time if you do choose to do this again, which I think you should! Anyway I loved the video! Keep up the great work!
