Hey man, thanks so much for your videos. I've come across loads of your tutorials on the Yaris which is perfect as I'm learning how to do my own work/servicing/etc and have 3 Yaris' (2 that are mine, 1 for a family member). It's so useful to see these jobs carried out on the actual car I own. As good as ChrisFix/Scotty and all the big UA-cam names are for learning, nothing gives peace of mind more than seeing somebody work on the actual parts you're going to be messing with! This has given me the confidence to carry out pad replacement on my Yaris, a job I've never done before. Thanks again!
Thank you so much! After watching your video I took it to replace my brake pads... It was as easy as drinking Coca Cola... it was! And it's so rewarding when we service an auto part... best way to spend my holiday afternoon!
Heard a funny sound while driving and figured it was something wrong with my breaks but being as I don't know anything about cars I came on UA-cam to check, this my first video and only video and I understand clearly thank you
Your English may not be perfect but the instruction is brilliant. lots of mechanic's in the UK use copper grease on brakes, don't know if it's better than the stuff you show or not. It would be nice if brake parts came powder coated or rust protected, instead of raw iron, I hate to see rusted metal next to pretty cast wheels. Thank for posting.
Just ordered my brake pads and discs are not worn at all,i shall do it this way v.soonThat front wheel looks like in good cond. with no rush on it compared to mine lol. Thanks for all your videos Peter Finn.
Well.....just did my Brembo front pads which took along time only because there was 2 warped outter metal clips which is not shown in this video. It made it finnicky (awkward) as it kept moving.
I've always found that the brake caliper piston will need to be pushed inwards or else the caliper will not go over the newer, thicker, pads. It would be nice to see your method of doing that. But more importantly, what happened to the shims???
Hi Peter, what is the name of the part on top of / behind te brake disc. Mine is rusting very badly so i'm looking for a replacement. Thanks in advance!
the another issue is i also feel oil is burning and if i go on long drive it runs 1500 KM and oil burn, then i hv to refill less than 1 liter oil but if drive inside city i can drive more than 2500 KM can you plz advice what kind of difference is that?
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor I am great thank you. Last night i was watching your videos and i feel asleep and woke with your videos still playing Good dreams i had lol
