I wish there were translation captions. She is one of the best dramatic sopranos of all time. Listening to her recordings moves you and makes you cry. She felt every word of every aria when she sang.

"Dramatic soprano"? Gencer is not a dramatic: she is a fully fledged lyric who, thanks to her inner musicality and technique, has sung spinto to dramatic roles. And she's one of my all time favourites of course!
