SCP-650 | Startling Statue (SCP Orientation)

Today we will be studying Item number SCP-650: Startling Statue, Object class: Euclid.
SCP-650 is a black statue of a stylized humanoid 167cm tall. The statue does not possess hands or facial features: the limbs taper off into rounded points and the head is a smooth surface all around. The default posture while under observation has the statue reaching upwards, head tilted as if facing the sky.
If the statue is not being observed, it will relocate itself to a point immediately behind whomever is in the containment site and assume a threatening posture. No noise is made during this relocation process. The relocation point and posture are typically close enough to induce an automatic fight-or-flight response in the observer once they turn around and see it.

Lol, love this SCP, it's not inherently dangerous, it just want to give you a little startle.
and the best part is is that it's theorized that if 650 were to be run through 914, i think on the Fine setting, the end result would be another 173.
I said it before and I'll say it again: SCP 650 and SCP 173 were fraternal twin statues, at least until one impatient researcher said to 173: "Hurry up and startle me already, and make it snappy!" 173 just obliged him.

I'm Mischievous But Sometimes Unintentionally Scare People Due To Walking Quietly (Mostly Because I Walk A Little Differently That Makes Me Quieter Without Lossing Speed Or Strains The Legs For A While During A Walk)
This has got to be my favourite non-threat if SCPs! It’s like one of those asshole friends who just love to jump scare people. At least it doesn’t break your neck if you take your eyes off it
I believe there was a story about this scp giving a researcher a heart attack that ended up killing them, the scp then seemed to mourn them and not act normally for a while.

Ah 650, aka the Startling Statue which basically a less lethal counterpart to 173. Granted it's also hinted to be a bit of a jerk/asshole since unlike 173, 650 seems to be more sapient and actively wants to scare the hell out of you. Of course, with the alternative being having your necked snapped, being scared is the far more appealing choice.
