It is definitely from the PC version of NBA Live 2001, but it is at least very similar to a track that was featured in the Nintendo 64 version of NBA Live 2000.
I remember this was the year they moved away from the NBA Live Orchestra/Traz Damji instrumental tracks (already started a bit with Live 2000). This was the only 'vintage' Live track that year. Dug it, but also a bit bittersweet. Great groove, as always, though.
@@LeVacarois I played drums on NBA Live 99,2000,2001. This stuff here. Traz was fantastic, just the funkiest man alive. Great guy and great energy too. I wish EA didn't go to canned hits and kept this great stuff going
@@philrobertson951 Thanks a lot for your response! Very cool to hear directly from the person who laid down the grooves on those fantastic tracks. They're etched in my memory and I still go back to them with some regularity. Indeed, a total shame that they opted for canned tracks around this time - you had something unique going here.
I want that played in my funeral
Word
well like KG always said, Anything is Possible.
Wow. Used to love this! Yeah, this was in Live 2000
Person of Interest Except Rahzel had some rap lines in the 2000 version
Mark Savory AND the intro was different too
Very underrated NBA Live

I was 13 when this game came out oh the nostalgia.

I think this is the instrumental track to Rahzel’s song for NBA LIVE for 99.
This was definately in the N64 version of Live 2000 as well. I would know, I still have it, lol!

Jazz-funk or acid jazz
Do anybody remember the hidden song off the ps1 version after you beat a certain challenge?
I didn't know about that! I played the PC version back in the day, but I do have the PS1 version now, so I'll have to check that out.
Yes it was like this calming instrumental song. I think it was 1v1 Jordan?

Bootsy collins a god for this
Ah, possibly. It might've been recycled from there, it definitely wasn't in the PC version of Live 2000.
It was on the N64 version of Live 2000 with a rap verse by Rahzel
