Little infodump for those of you who want more context:
The quartet here (black suits) is Boston Common, who won SPEBSQSA silver in 1979 and gold in 1980. The song they are singing is "Sincere", which famously introduces the barbershop quartet in the 1957 musical "The Music Man."
The guest tenor here is Vern Reed, who sang with the Buffalo Bills throughout their 20-year career. The Buffalo Bills were the original quartet from The Music Man, having performed in both the original Broadway run and the 1962 film. Many of you have probably seen the clip of them singing this song in the movie. AFAIK, they were the most prolific barbershop quartet ever. From Wikipedia:
"Their total career consisted of 1,510 performances on Broadway, 728 concerts, 675 radio shows, 672 night club and hotel appearances, 626 conventions, 218 television shows, 137 state fair performances, eight record albums, and one motion picture."
The Buffalo Bills broke up in 1967, and according to Reed's daughter, not only did he never practice after they broke up, but by this date he had progressed into a case of Alzheimer's. So he was still able to sing like this, after 15 years without practicing and an onset of Alzheimer's.

I helped the barbershop for a production of the music man rehearse a year and a half ago. Accidentally memorized the tenor line through the process; it's still so fun to sing!

And of course, I must add... They had 1982 much better nervous system, before later fake-food, chemicals, injections... I remember from my youth.

He's actually a singer who won the international barbershop quartet competition 32 years earlier than this performance, so he was much older and past his prime, but very legendary so it was cool for him to perform with more recent quartet champions. Also, the opening scene about the guy not being a singer is from a movie that the tenor's quartet appeared in during the 50s, so not actually true
