YEAH! Love this! Thank you so much for reacting! - I agree it could have been even better if Dwiki had pulled back a little at some parts, but over all I think they did a really great performance. Look, I see it that way: Putri can't look at him anyway, and he need not look at her, because they see by feeling each other in their music... Their timing and pacing of the song together is amazing, all the more as this was on the fly and not rehearsed, during a podcast on which they met for the first time... and I'm really happy and glad for Putri she gets the opportunity to work with experienced great musicians like him instead of having to sing with her school orchestra (compare this version to the other some older video of her singing this song at a presentation of her school...) - She gains a lot of experience by meeting all of these pros... - You might be interested to watch and analyze her performance with Maia Estianti who is a famous musician, pianist, producer and vocalist, they are doing a piano duet on a song, but only Putri is singing, I'll put the link at the end of my comment...
I also love the spontaneity this breathes, the joy in it... But it would be interesting to get a studio production of them collaborating, really working on songs... - But I will also say that Putri doesn't "need" a piano player as she accompanies herself maybe better than anyone else could, because she has 100% control of tempo and dynamics in that case. Of course she's not as skilled technically as Dwiki is, but as we saw in her "Still Haven't Found..." she's very effective with only some chords or even single notes and little runs to just anchor her beautiful vocal delivery and underline or highlight some phrases and adding some suspense... - Anyway, she's doing a lot, meeting and collaborating with many people and I think that's a good thing... And I really liked her and dwiki and wish they'd do some more together, maybe her on keys and vocals, him doing whatever. She could learn a lot from guys like him... just a short intro:
