I think the bossfight length is fine since story mission is like a one time thing gameplay. The parry doesn't feel as visually impactful as PGR but I'd say it's a pretty solid bossfight gameplay, more to be improved honestly and looks like they're cooking well.

At what point is there too much? Nier and Souls also aren't 'more' complex, they also just use timing + dodging + positioning + attacking. DMC I could see being more complex than the other two games you listed if you really want to get everything out of it, but that also doesn't make it necessarily harder or 'more dynamic' as you said in your first comment. And the part about parry being clunky isn't even something you mentioned originally, you instantly went to 'it's just spamming'. Nothing about it being spamming would indicate that you find the parry to be clunky. Next time just say you think the parry is clunky and go on with your life without unnecessarily shittalking the game for things it does right and like any other game in its genre, lmao.
