I dont know which one of them you're talking about but neither of them is a her, i don't understand how you can watch a video like this and still misgender them. I mean, it's exactly what they're talking about and that makes it all the more disrespectful.

This is a very dangerous and very insidious and very damaging message. Why did European society have this "Gender Binary" for hundreds of years? Well, if any societal system you come up with was superior why didn't they think it up? Why, under the selection process of cultural evolution would this issue never come up? The issue of religious liberty, the liberty of the people, the liberty of the state, these issues were brought up and an answer always followed. We have had revolutions of _men_ and _women_ living and dying for these freedoms and for the structure of society at large. The state was a shadowy organization that lurked in the back, granting people infrastructure, order, and police; but those are irrelevant in comparison to the Lockean civil liberties which live to an (insufficient, admittedly) extent in our present society. Those liberties being Life, Liberty, Health, and Property. The State's role was to ensure these people's natural freedoms were protected and established for as long as they lived. The very real breakdown of gender as a societal construct, this 'gender revolution' which has taken place, is an artificial event in the history of _our culture, nation and country._ Why is it artificial? Because the moment you stomp on my liberty by telling me what pronouns I may address you by and I must do this _because the big boss, the government, says so,_ you have crossed a line; the moment you stomp on my property rights by telling me why _I can and cannot remove you from _*_my employ_*_ you have crossed a line._ This line is crossed when you go from a cultural change to one forged with the iron hammer of the state. When you put a gun to my head and say that this is the new moral order, you have crossed the line that is my, and everyone's, for that matter, freedom.
As an aside, I can see someone reading this and jumping at my look exclusively at European society, if the natives had an "other gender" for people with Gender Dysphoria, fine. But did the natives forge governments, nations, machines, weapons, castles, architecture, basic infrastructure, science and philosophy among others? No? Then they're quite clearly not the clearest look that we have of what is ideal. The Europeans did this and more, so that's why I looked at them exclusively.

Zayan Watchel I disagree with alot of what you said, but I don’t have the time to write a nice big internet comment trying to win you over at the moment, so I implore you to watch a video called “Pronouns” by ContraPoints, which would probably do a better job than I could. If you care enough about this topic to write a comment, I hope you have the dedication to give this one video a chance. And please do not dismiss it immediately due to the wack visuals lol.

You're going to have to right that comment because this video doesn't refute my point. We can't restructure society with government power.

Your idea that non European people had no culture, because European colonisation destroyed most of it and stole much of what was left is one of the most disgusting displays of racism by ignorance I have ever seen in my life.
I am not sure whether or not you simply never in your life heard of the things that are still there, like the pyramides, the city of Machu Picchu, the Moai statues of the Easter Islands or the fucking Chinese Wall, or if you just chose to ignore them in the interest of your racism. But it doesn't really make any difference, one option makes you a racist moron, the other a moronic racist.
But I guess since we had racism for several hundret years, you are probably of the conviction that it is a good thing.

@@zayan6284 obviously this is 5 years old, so the chance that you'll read this is small. But saying that Europeans had a gender binary for hundreds of years is correct. And I'm glad you realized that before this, people like the ancient Greeks even worshipped trans gods. There are many cultures world wide that you could have mentioned that accept "third genders". Several Asian cultures, native Americans, native Hawaiians. I could go on and on. I find it troubling that the only culture you considered was European culture. A euro centric belief system, while not specifically saying it, you are either pointing out that it is "dangerous" because it's "not what white people do", or "it's not a first world way of thinking" which is, in my opinion more dangerous than anything related to trans and non binary people. They're just people, not hurting you one bit, so why bother them?
