I went with missionaries at Southern Philippines where a village in a remote area barely have clean water.. food.. and electricity only works for 3 days straight.. the only job is farming and manual labor in the major cities where a days work they only make approximately 2-3dollars a day some even lower if you convert the money population of 4,324 people but, crime is extremely low. The people always say we are already in poverty why would we make it harder for ourselves by committing crime. Poverty is not an excuse to do crime.. it’s not even racial, it’s cultural.

I live in NYC, and have worked in not-for-profit programs which provide services to underserved communities; particularly, in Bed-Stuy and Bushwick, and AOC's old argument is only something that high school freshman buy into. This idea that people in the ghetto in 2020 are fighting over a lack of resources is the biggest lie which is sold to liberals. NYC has more food banks, soup kitchens, mobile food trucks, and free meals to children than any other state. People in the ghetto aren't killing each other over food or any basic necessity. In fact, in NYC illegal immigrants can get medicaid, food stamps, and even driver's licenses and Public Housing. This idea that the ghetto of 2020 is the same ghetto as 1930 is completely untrue. What you find in the ghetto is the result of a mentality of entitlement and unaccountability. They feel entitled to have the same possessions, skills, opportunities, and proficiency as others without the effort. And politicians keep pandering to this mentality to divide and garner the majority of public sentiment. Politicians and 'community leaders' have sold these communities these lies so much so that now they are enacting policies that are literally resulting in the geometric increase of the number of deaths of people within these very communities that these politicians are advocating for. They keep pointing to the boogeyman of 'police brutality' and over-policing and will for years be dealing with the thousands of deaths that will be caused by 'normalized' policing and a withdrawal of law enforcement from their communities. People like De Blasio and AOC might as well just start shooting children in these communities themselves and eliminate the middle men.
