Still working as of today! You can also use this glitch to duplicate rare items like cpu's for turrets. As you can't drop such items, start hacking the tower and do it with the cpu that drops there.
It does still work but i tried a lot with a small stack so the bigger the stack the easier and player placement is still a factor and speed so just keep tryin
So they fixed this and broke something else it seems. I've noticed that now if you're dumping items into storage and pick other items up you lose out on the xp. Very noticeable when you're farming things like mana beads and constantly dumping a full inventory and filling it up immediately again.
Same here. I don’t ever try to exploit the game but with this game itself being heavily grindy to grab enough resources to make other resources WITH the limited tools you have.
Not sure if this helps, sure it's a lil tricky (got it to work on the square wood logs) but can't get it to work on rubber... But it does work on PS5 as of June 26 '22

March 19th still working :) you really need to time it on 1 click, if you pick 2 (2 clicks) it will no longer duplicate

I think this will work even orbs but you got to be perfect on the timing since you will only have one shot and will took a while for another.

Is it necessary for me to be at the point in the game where I can remove materials from my storage?
No it's just makes it easier to gather the items you need to dup.
