A little bit of van life truth here, I hope you don't mind me sharing the reality. I feel like too many channels make it look SO easy and that just isn't what life is like 24/7!
No matter the struggles that come with doing all of this I feel very blessed to be on this journey with all of you 🥰

I've only recently found _Park4night_ & I'm still finding my way round it but so far I've only found it useful when I can't find anywhere myself. I just keep my eyes open while I'm driving & I usually see somewhere at least adequate but occasionally superb every few miles. If that fails I get out Satellite View on the map & look for 'viewpoints', places they've moved the road & orphaned a short stretch or deep laybys or industrial estates. In towns I'm mostly looking for parks, carparks or blank walls. If I'm overlooked I don't like it.
I park facing the exit just in case something silly happens.

Have you considered finding a friend, who can play an instrument and, perhaps, sing with you? When I was young, a friend and I realized that we could harmonize well together. She decided to advertise via a local newspaper for musicians to accompany us & start a folk group. A few people auditioned for us. We found 2 guitarists who sounded great . Their voices blended well with ours, too! No romance was involved, just friendly relationships! I hope you will give this a try. Just make sure you find a good friend who is trustworthy. I saw a Busker today in Seaford along the promenade you get a lot of students doing the hike there that come from Brighton and to be fair it looks like he was doing really well and it’s a free park up

Have you considered taking card payments? I’ve seen lots of buskers use them now with a sign that says “Tap to pay me £2” or whatever? Lots of options now with some you can use directly with your phone, no other hardware needed. They take a small cut of course but it may increase your earnings overall? I never have cash with me these days, but I always have my phone
Hi, I had a card machine that was a tap to tip, the reason i purchased this specific one was because you didn't need to set it up every time for card payments which was ideal when people would like to tip while i'm mid song. Unfortunately it was not compatible with Android phones 😢
I’ve been to Wareham a few times and always park where you were if I can, but it’s usually busy.
Warehams a bit posh though. I think you’d have to busk with a cello to make any money 🤣

Have you thought of approaching smaller pubs to do Friday and Saturday nights, they normally feed and give you free food….shower, toilets, water and rubbish before leaving….

At least you have your freedom and not stuck in a top floor flat in a crappy City eh? Your chosen lifestyle seems far less complicated, hectic and stressful than most 'ordinary' lifestyles that most people choose.
When you get stressed, just think of the horrible alternatives that most people live? It will make you grateful that you are you, living as you do?
Free park ups really are everywhere, it's just a case of using a bit of savvy and common sense when scoping them out.👍

Oh I'm 100% grateful and blessed to be able to live as I do. Don't get me wrong! But life is never perfect 100% of the time and a lot of these van channels portray it that way which just isn't reality. We all have our bad days, which makes us appreciate the good days twice as much🥰 Definitely have to be savvy haha that doesn't come naturally to me ! Thanks, Stay groovy ✌
Me and an ex went on the hunt for a camp in the south west, just to discover the camp,was now a Homebase or similar, we reluctantly stayed one night in a housing estate, sheer desperation. Apart from an oik banging once on the side of the camper van, all was well, we didn't bother anyone, left no mess ,made no noise, and parked sensibly on a nice wide road, blocking no one.
Not recommended, but use your loaf, and don't create problems.
Be careful get a big dog 😄

I Find park 4 night to be useless in the UK ive found some loverly spots just by stopping if it looks nice more of an adventure that way n we should always avoid paying to park especially in a place the shops are boreded up how can we get out and spend money while the council want £15 to get out of the van grr sorry to moan just been approached by someone who resents our freedom grr 😅 we need to fight van camper motorhome discrimination a no camper sign is discrimination😢
I totally agree, i've found loads of park ups just by driving by and stopping, it's definitely part of the fun. But it can also be stressful when you just can't find any.. talking from experience 😂 OHHH I AGREE! They hate the thought of anyone having fun for free. Definite discrimination on us. Would love to see what it's like abroad one day soon💛

You know you can hide and unhide your pin locations on your map I do it quite a lot because my maps really busy like yours so sometimes I hide where I’ve been it helps with the map not being so busy

some great tips there harley there is a lot to think about day to day we find putting your rubbish into smaller bags you can put in public bins easyer and get one off the big freezer bags from aldi you can fit toilet bottom part in it and go in any supermarket kfc macdonalds and stealth empty you loo if your in emergency and cant find public toilets done it lots times great vid all the best donny x
