What was an incident that traumatized you physically?

I was in a car accident
I can't say that I was traumatized, but whatever. This happened when I was in primary school. I was playing tag with my friends and I was like a damn good runner actually. BUT I was careless when running because we were playing after it rained earlier during the day. I slipped on the wet grounds, grazed my knees and palms as well as hit my head against the metal drain sewer cover.
So basically I was bleeding from both knees, my palms as well as my head. I guess I did tolerate the pain well for my age because I didn't even scream or do anything when the school medic treated my wounds. But this really did teach me a good lesson.
I cut my eyeballs
I think in Elementary school, I have fell down during gym. I wasn't looking forward. I cried. But then, I got better.

Worse physical pain occurred was when I was 17
It was during chemistry class and I like the subject but the teacher was very boring.
I started yawning during her class
I yawned too much that I got my jaw locked.
Note that my jaw got locked before but it normally goes back to its normal form after a few seconds.
So I was waiting for the moment to come BUT THE THING IS AFTER FEW MINUTES IT DIDNT
So I couldn’t speak
I wrote on my book telling my friend that
I think my jaw is locked
She informed the teacher about it
Then the whole class knew it
We all started laughing
I was laughing too
Cause it didn’t hurt
The St. John ambulance member came and they didn’t know what to know and they don’t dare to do much
I told the teacher to just send me to the hospital cause I can claim from the insurance
I don’t know what they’re all thinking
They didn’t want to send me there
They insisted on having my mum to come over to school
Such nice timing, my brother drove my mother’s car which means that she doesn’t have a car. She had to borrow a car from her worker to come to school.
Throughout the whole process
I waited for like
Two hours
I couldn’t open wider or close my mouth
It was so sore that it hurts
It hurts so much that I started tearing up
When I reached the hospital
My stomach was so bloated that I had to puke
So I puked and it was so hard for me to puke as my mouth is just wide open and I can’t push out the things that I had to puke out la
So I laid on the bed
They gave me a shot of anaesthesia
Because the pain was too much for me to handle as I started crying out loud
AFTER ONE SHOT
IT WAS ENOUGH TO RELIEF THE PAIN
SO THEY HAD TO GIVE ME ANOTHER SHOT
Since this kind of stuff don’t happen frequently, the doctor had a bunch of like medical students standing around the bed and stare at me as the doctor teaches them how to solve this problem.
After this day, my whole school knew me fire the girl who got her jaw locked. :)
I know it’s just a locked jaw, it’s not painful until you wait for too long and your muscle is sore and tired.

I need Renae's medication for eczema. Because it healed well.
In my case, I had a bad case of ingrown toenail, to the point that I needed surgery to remove the nail. The doctor kept injecting anesthesia, but I could still feel the pain. The doctor said if he injected more, it will affect my heart rate and it might have serious complications. So, with no choice, I had to go through the operation enduring that pain of having my toenail removed. I could feel the device cutting through the nail bed and even the pulling of the nail itself. After that, the effects of the anesthesia made me groggy, I couldn't walk straight.

I relate so much to the eczema story. I literally have to psych myself up to get into the shower when my eczema flares up.
Getting injected with lidocaine to my gums like 12 times to pluck out my 4 pre-molars b4 getting braces....O MAI TIAN I felt every needle stabbing my gums, I felt every tooth being ripped out.... I was hyperventilating n having a panic attack.... Hated that day but got nice straight teeth :) 😂😂 worth it?? I'd say yepp

I felt the last one before but not my face it is on my leg because I have eczema and like I have been enduring it since young with my raw skin so like eczema is a very serious thing so just to spread awareness do not / never make fun of people with eczema because they are mostly very insecure

Same. I got 2 slipped discs and I sneezed rlly hard and it aggravated it. Couldn't walk or bend down properly for a week without wanting to kill myself :')

Ooh I have eczema too, and there was this one time my 'situation' ended up exactly like Renae's.
I had to go to school with a swollen eye and so many classmates teased me about it, asking if I got into a fight or something. They're all generally good friends though.

My worst physical pain when I fractured my arm. I went to the hospital and I had to wait for 2hrs because the nurses wouldn't attend to me. Finally when the nurses attend to me they said that they had to push back my bone to its original place with laughing gas. And during the whole period I could feel my one being pushed back in place as the laughing has did absolutely nothing. Goshhhh

Worst pain I felt was when I broke my toes but didn’t know. So I broke my toe at home when my brother kick my toes when playing Football, yes we play at home a lot of TV spoil. So got blue black and look a bit weird and was quite pain but I didn’t know I broke it. The next day I went to school and climb up to the forth floor before I pass out from pain. I was holding onto the railing and was hopping on 1 leg. Then idk what happen I just wake up in stretcher and go hospital. So when I went there they say I already broke the toe at home, but then I broke my knee cap when I pass out and roll down the stairs. Then I shocked like I fall down stairs and never feel any pain leh. But then pain when I was hopping up the stair case was unbearable. Because that day is exam no other level available and all students and Teachers were on the 5th floor so I need to get there to say my toe smth wrong. When I hope right, I could feel every single thread on my sock and my shoe pressing against the already dislocated toe. The pain was so bad I had no feeling for my entire left leg and went it went limp I felt my grip start to slip and I started to black out and last thing I saw was the ceiling.

Worse pain i had Was earlier this week ....I had to miss my Tokyo food trip cos I fractured my Jaw & Cheekbone and my lower gums split in half when skiing in Niseko earlier this week... an Ang Mo skier tried doing a 360 spin and his back crash in my face when I was overtaking him... spend few days in Sapporo for partial treatment before flying back home for proper medical care
my worst physical pain was when i had a toe surgery, it was my second time , they put ONE jab of anestisia ( pain killer ) but it wasn’t enough so during the surgery i felt so much more pain than i did on the first time . but they aftermath was the worst . Everything i did was pain . i walk , i lay down and it was so pain i could not sleep . it was horrendous .

My worst physical pain when I drank a few bowls of Mongolian mala soup in Beijing, China and a few hours later my tummy started to hurt and after going to the toilet a few time my butt was on fire
I broke my ring finger when i was P6 and during my holiday with family at KL. Luckily it was the second last day at KL. So after we went back to SG my parents brought me to KKH A&E for xray and the result yes my finger broke. When i met the doctor, he asked me what happened etc asked my name and he said "when i count to three you answer" so not even at three the doctor pulled out my broken finger and started crying. That was the worst physical pain ever.
I fell from a truck and hit my head on a metal drain cover when i was young :D got many stitches and a scar :D
Okay so my worst physical pain lasted for a good 3-4 months. This is a long story and y’all might not believe it but search it up and you will know. So I sprained my right ankle in Dec 2018, and it healed. Then in April 2019 (16 yo), my ankle (same ankle) hurt super badly and i thought it was an injury relapse so i went to see doctor. After seeing doctor, still didn’t heal. Then I just left it there, thinking it will heal. Then 2 weeks later, my left hip (the area around your tailbone) started to hurt super badly one night, and it’s not like sore or itchy kind of pain, it’s like internal kind of pain and you move one bit, it will hurt so much as if someone is messing up with your nerves. I couldn’t even move one bit and thank god i was sitting in my bed and i had to move on inch, enduring the pain and finally went to sleep. I had school the next day and i couldn’t see a doctor until i got back from school and so I endured the pain, I moved super slow (normal travel time is 20mins but I took 30-40minutes) and the pain was super super bad, you can’t even pinpoint the pain because it’s inside your organs. So I went to see a doctor and doctor prescribed me painkillers, thinking it’s sore muscles. So as time passes, my hip got even more painful and my ankle injury also aggravated. Every morning when i went to school, my ankle was very stiff and sore, I had trouble sitting up because it would trigger the pain near my hip. I went to western doctors and chinese doctors. Nothing worked and TCM made it even worse by pressing on the pain. Went to polyclinics and pharmacies for a month until I got referred to a hospital in July. And diagnosis took about 2 weeks to a month so I endured all this pain for at least 3 months already. And during all this time, my right elbow started to hurt as well, very stiff and I couldn’t straighten it out at all, or can i neither bend it back to my shoulder as well as my other elbow. It was really hard and i had to sit out on all PE lessons without a valid reason (cause no diagnosis) and travelling here and there was super difficult but at the same time, I got used to it. So back to main point, my final diagnosis were juvenile arthritis. To those people who have arthritis( probably none here) you know how bad is it, it’s 10/10 and the fact that I had to endure this for 3 months was super bad. Currently now, I am still receiving treatment and every 2 weeks i have to take another injection which is not your normal vaccine injection, it’s like 4X the pain and you know when liquid is going inside of you when the pain reaches its climax. Until now, as of Jan 2020, my ankle still hurts a bit when walking ling distance and standing for a long time, my hip doesn’t hurt, my elbow doesn’t bend as well as my other elbow. For anyone of you who can’t imagine this pain, when you get to old age and experience arthritis, you will know how bad it is. And it’s for a long period of time, not just a week or a month. Thank you for reading this( if anyone even did)

had back surgery for my scoliosis and i had to be admitted one day before the surgery date so i went got admitted and everything and everything was fine until i had to put iv drip and collect blood i was nervous because i experienced this before and am queasy w blood and so anyways they told me they will just collect my blood cause thats mandatory and if possible put the iv tube into me but if cannot after one try they wont do it until i was out in the operating theatre because i told them i was really really nervous ok anyways they collected my blood and that was already a problem itself cayde my veins all hide cause i was damn nervous and my blood dw to flow and the vein became v small and thin cause nervous SO THEY POKE POKE POKE then ok finally can collect blood alr THEN THEY SAY OK WE TEY THE TUBE THEN I SAY OK GO QUICKLY OMGGGG THEY LIED BROOOOOO THEY NEVER TRY ONE TIME THEY TRIED SEVEN TIMES TO INSERT THE TUBE and they had to put it on both my hands and if possible the arm part above your elbow idk how to say but ya there then when it was finally over i thought is really over but no eh WTH they brought the iv machine and connected the tube to the wires and everything then they pump this liquid into my veins then switch it back to the machine to drip water and stuff WTH omg i think my vein was really just v small cause i wasnt nervous alr cause the nurse said not pain at all so they pump and omg it felt like i vaccinated my hand and someone keep hitting the part so it felt really sore and tender and i can feel the liquid really flowing inside like it was so sore and tender my hand felt like china glass and thats not the worst part for some DAMN REASON my iv machine KEPT BEEPING means go problem so need to pump the liquid and change the drip OH MY GOD it was like hell then i kept saying it hurts and my face really showed that it hurt ah especially when they pump the liquid so the nurses told me if it continues i have to change the iv so repoke omg i really felt like crying at that moment wah i tell u i go there for back surgery expecting that to be the most pain i will get in that one week but instead is my iv that hurt the mosst

having angioedema that turn into anaphylactic shock and it feels the worse everytime my hives come;;;
I have 3 crazy pains:
1. When I was 10, my mom pulled me out of the pool and when my feet touched the floor I slipped and my foot got cut on the broken brick. The wound was 4cm long and like 1cm deep. Blood everywhere and when I was in the hospital, they had to open my wound and inject anaesthetics into the cut before sowing me up.
2. Earring piercing got stuck into my ear lobe. Went to a clinic to get it removed, doctor only had numbing cream, and she proceeded to make an incision at the back of my lobe and pull my earring out from the back. Can you imagine the pain? No anaesthetics!!
3. I developed a huge keloid on my ear after I removed my helix piercing. (Helix piercing got removed because during a haircut, the hairdresser ran her comb over my piercing and it got stuck and she yanked it out from behind my ear. It was a chain in front and she pulled it out from the back.) so the keloid developed over many years growing slowly till it got so huge. Was like the size of half a lime? 2-3cm lump behind my ear. Decided to remove it cause it was so embarrassing to get my hair done. The removal was quite painless cause of anaesthetics but the cleaning of the wound was a nightmare. If you can visualise, it wasn’t stitched because there’s no way the skin could get stitched over the top of my ear. Ear bone area on top. So it was a huge open wound after the lump was removed. The gauze placed over it would harden with my blood and stick to my wound so every time you want to clean it, you have to rip it out and the first few times I had to get it done at the doctor’s. He ripped it off and blood was squirting everywhere. I was in so much pain and screaming and crying. Worst thing ever. I don’t recommend a helix piercing lol. Totally not worth it.

Story 1: On a Sunday I went into my parent's room and as I said "Ma", my dog (which is a stray) jumped on my and started attacking me. Good thing my father was at home and threw the dog out of the room while my mum kept shouting as if that would do anything. My father later drove me to KKH for operation. If not for my father I might have lost one eye or half a face.
Story 2: I was playing with my brother when we were young. My finger ended up at the door, my brother closed and my finger got crushed. My father fetched me to the hospital.
eh my finger also got crushed by a metal door and till this day my fingernail is crooked
why do u have to emphasise the fact that your dog WAS a stray (bcus if it was YOUR dog, staying with you, it isnt a stray anymore??) though lmao. pedigree dogs can be just as dangerous and aggressive idk why youre trying to antagonise "stray" dogs here

im pretty sure we nurses wouldnt use alcohol to clean deep wounds tho, Bolin. we use normal saline (which is like salt water).

My worst is I have done my eyelid surgery using local anaesthesia so I was awake the whole time... I could feel the pain when the anaesthesia worn off.... the thread going through my skin and THE DOCTOR SAID HE HAD TO REDO ONE OF MY EYES WITH JO ANAESTHESIA

Worst Physical pain I’ve endured:
I once burst open a small bag of _Chicken rice chilli vinegar sauce_ and it went straight into my eyes...
I had a nice bright orange glow in my eyes but too bad I couldn’t see it.
Mine is me getting tripped during netball and my head hit the floor head first and i had the ball so it hit my stomach and after the pe lesson i had really bad bruise and a stomach bruise
As a Chinese i am quite relieved to hear that I dont need to circumcise

The worst pain is when I sprained both my ankles while skateboarding (or at least trying to) down the same flight of stairs 2 years in a row. 1 ankle per year. After the 2nd time I never ever skateboarded again. I was 8 and 9 when it happened. Then when I was 16 I tried to open a locked door in school. Someone from inside unlocked it but I didn't know, on my third try after it was unlocked, I pulled the door too hard and it hit me in my right eyebrow and it bled like f*ck and I had to get 6 stitches. Luckily I wasn't hit in my eye because otherwise I might go blind.
My worst physical pain was during primary 6 when I had a night study session at the canteen. Before that, I went to my school carpark which is next to the canteen. I played catching with my classmates and suddenly, I tripped over my classmate's leg and my left elbow hit the HARD carpark floor. At first, I didn't felt anything UNTIL I started doing my math homework, the pain was WAY beyond what I though. I went to the clinic and they cleaned up my wound and IT WAS SO DARN PAINFUL. I just cry and cry till I go to sleep that day. Later that night, I told my mum what happened and she said 'YOU DESERVE IT FOR NOT BEING CAREFUL.'

The worst physical pain that I had was my period cramps lol, i wasn't expecting it, so i drank like 2 cups of ice water and 1 bottle of the pokka green tea.
That night i vomitted at least thrice and couldnt sleep lol

Mine was when I fell on my Chin and the skin just split and you could see the bone underneath and I had to get like 12 stitches
Worst pain was when i dislocated my knee. Since then I have a phobia of broken bones and dislocations.

So I went to the dental because my teeth was literally crooked, like VERY. The dental told me that I had to pluck out 4 tooth in ONE session. So, she injected this liquid thingy to break the bone inside and numb my gums at the same time so I dont feel pain. When the time comes for plucking, it was the worst. I literally shouted and I almost kicked the dental staff cos IT WAS THAT PAINFUL. After 4 tooth was plucked out, I couldnt even open my mouth and speak OR even swallow my saliva.
Was playing catching during recess. Started running around, didn't check if the drain covers were placed properly. Fell in and smacked by my wrist onto the drain cover while falling in. Pulled myself out, went to take my PSLE.
Writing during that 2hours was so hard.
probably some period cramps I’ve had or the day I ate something bad. I am so grateful the pain didn’t last too long in those situations but god I felt awful and so disgusting, just laying on the bathroom floor in cold sweat trying to sleep away the pain…. But being so stressed because of the fear of one of my family members coming in and finding me naked on the floor with dirty toilets and bathtub lol…
I was 13/14, got off my dad’s motorbike at the petrol station and the next moment a mercedes (those big one) drove OVER my feet! My dad and me were in shock and failed to take down the driver’s contact for compensation. Neither my dad went back to the petrol station for CCTV.
I only cried after I reached home and conveyed the story to my mum. Thats when my mum said, “okay u go to the hospital.”
One of my worst pain is when I was running for the bus and I fell and slide across the drain grate. I was bleeding so badly that I had to be brought back to school to patch up. I still have those scars on both knees.
Here's another one. My slipper decided to gave in as I walk up the escalator. I kinda, in between, a fall and trip. Those escalator steps are sharp and it stabbed on my Achilles. It was bleeding bad. I managed to get a bandaid and patched it up and went to see a movie. I only got it properly patched up after the movie. XD That wound took months to heal up by the way.
a glass cover for a wall light dropped on my table and shattered and then cut my middle toe, completely slicing the tendon clean :D
at the time no one knew but when the doctor started to stitch my toe up, he told me to try moving it but i obviously couldnt lah then when he saw that u the toe wasnt moving he was like "i think we gotta bring you in for Op man" so yea i spent the night at the hospital while they re-attached my tendon and stitched my toe back up. 1 internal stitch for the tendon and 5 stitches just for that one middle toe HAHHAAH

OML can Renae recommend like her doctor or medication or something? My eczema flares up so bad sometimes showering is a bitch.

last time when i young my stupid self decided to ride a bike down a slope which as damn steep and then obviously i couldn't stop the bike then halfway down i press the brake then i legit flew off the bike sia wah then my whole face the skin like kena rip off liddat leh (cos the slope was made of rock) then the floor somemore got one rock super sharp then my leg got cut also damn pain sial
One of the worst pains is having multiple big ulcers in the mouth and then gargling your mouth with saltwater :(
my worst pain is when i had wisdom tooth surgery and i tried to eat smth and it got stuck TT
wanted to watch till the end but the stories were way too descriptive and i kept imagining it happening to me,,, it was too painful for me :"-)
mine was i fractured my right hand(master hand) during a basketball tournament when i was pri 5 or 6 i think and the cause of it was... one of the guys from the opponent team so i got their rebound after they shot and i got the ball and i ran straight for the other side of the court to score but... this guy just stick his leg out i trip and while tripping my hand was already in a position where youre being arrested by police where u have to place your hands behind your back ya and it was in that position so when i slammed on the floor my hand in that position twisted agn on impact and the first few seconds i couldnt felt anyt but after that i cried and like couldnt even get up screaming in pain then my coach carry me to a chair and we waited for the ambulance to arrive it was to pain that i felt like im gonna faint and yea everything was fine after treatment
side note: the guy who tripped me got a red card and couldnt play for the whole tournament
