We’ve seen the “anti-squeak” tape in a 560SEL V126 press car (code 911) that we bought. Mercedes put it everywhere, even under the wood, dashboard - just everywhere.

I got a question for you as an expert or anyone in the comments. Im for some reason insane and looking into getting into a vintage Mercedes. I’d like to ask your input.
Im debating between 3 candidates
1. 1970 280se auto trans
Doesn’t run. Fresh paint fresh upholstery
2. 1960 220s, auto, fin tail.
Doesn’t run.allegedly ran a year ago. But owner doesn’t know what it needs or why it doesn’t run. Missing headliner. Cheapest of the trio at 2k.
3. 1963 190d manual column shift. Runs and drives. Just needs TLC. Paint is rough needs tires. Minor rust. Most expensive of the trio at 3500.
Which one would you pick? Which one would be the least headache to get running/ maintaining.

I'm going to try this fix on my 1990 300SE. The passenger door card squeaks pretty badly... Will be a very happy camper if this works. Good information. Thanks!

When I've encountered this issue, 9 times out of 10 it ends up being rubbing at the lower door sill (threshold). It rubs the door panel when closed, and felt tape is still the fix. It does this on ALL FOUR doors!!

Does anyone in the states have a good resource for leather seat/interior replacement? My seats need re-covered and don't know where to get the best leather is. Thanks for any help you can provide
