Just let him talk damn 😂😂
Fax
They got a bad habit of keeping talking over ppl after asking questions lmaoo
Foooorealll
FACTS THIS GOT ME HEATED
If they didn’t talk you wouldn’t know his take on stuff like this you clown
They don’t seem 2 understand he just love the art. It’s sad
He obviously gets paid A LOT for what he does so I think they had fair questions.
Well obviously he's making money off of it. He gotta pay bills and stuff
Aint nobody working for free , even the swaps have some sort of value
Bro he live in Atlanta he a producer wearing designer don’t let him lie to you 😂😂 does he love his job yes, but he not finna lose a high quality client and long term client over greed, he playing the long game pretty sure metro went to Morehouse college 🤔
Naw he just knows it's more money on the backend, when it comes to the artist he frequently works, like future, Travis, drake, thug, 21, he would charge someone he knows the record is probably not going to go anywhere, yes the beat is half the battle, but the artist is what really pushes records, like take mustard for instance, as hot as a producer he was it was tyga, and yg that made the sound what it was, now that streaming is so prominent that producer is going to make minus the shows just off the record getting played just as much as the artist, they get less if they take the money upfront because even if it's in the contract if they have one, getting paid upfront is going to take their percentage of the track down when it comes to royalties and publishing, payments upfront can also lead to no rights of record, so the backend is always the best option for popular artist, like curren$y he puts out alot of records to get more streams, because his core audience is smaller but we are going to listen to every record so you would charge for that record because alone it may not do the numbers like a Kanye or future or Travis record because they're streaming artist one song may do 100s of millions of streams maybe billions, so you would make money off someone like that because they're going to buy at least 5 or 6 records, that may or may not come out or just get thrown on a mixtape
those 2 aint never done something outta love
Easy to do it outta love when you one of the richest producers
@@paballophokwane3876 he wasn't born one of the richest producers so i don't get your point
bro fr metro blew their mind when he said that he does it for free.
Definitely not Steiny, he is a spineless rat.
@@StephenASmithESPN never claimed the opposite, his wealth doesn't discount his passion or love for the craft
Why they be cutting him off lmao we wanna hear metro talk
Cuz everyone in hip hop answers questions like their politicians
Watch the pod
“I’d do this shit for free” that just shows how much this dude loves his job. Metro is one of the best producers ever
for the guys who already at the top 😂
Dr Dre still better
@@DeezerWeezer20my boi he said “one of the best” y’all ppl on social media always be tryna argue over anything🤦♂️ ( Kanye>Dre)
@@NoName-gz1lr Nigga mad over i read some wrong my bad nigga could have just said re read it
But he's not doing it for free. It's an easy thing to say when you're making millions.
You just gotta love the passion behind someone who loves the art
If he loved it that much he wouldn’t sent invoices to the label record
@@goynwa7110 awful take, you can be passionate about something you do and still want to get paid when its necessary
"art"
@@RougeDeBlahshut uppppp
@@RougeDeBlah music is art indeed
"ill do this shit for free idc but i still need that 100k"
Bro gotta eat
@GabrielRodriguez-lc8ob that's cool just don't cap
that’s not what he said
putting words in his mouth
@@RoomTempChamp it’s not at all. he was asked what’s the highest he’s charged for a beat and his answer was 100k. then he explains he doesn’t usually charge cause he usually only works on what he’s passionate abt. use that organ in yur skull
Metro been in the game Long enough to know that he can get paid and stay paid with royalties from his beats. He could even earn some master royalties down the road. Which, in itself is a major plus since he’s made beats for future, young thug, Travis and Drake. With that being said,
He’ll be set for life.
Yeah and he basically said because he does so many favours and isn’t greedy about the money that when it’s his own album he has no issues with getting artists or clearances for samples or having to pay artists.
He done sold some of his catalogue for 70ms lmaooo he goood for life
@@FreeBandz658Yea did you see all the fearures on the Heroes and Villains album, I bet a lot of them were free/cheap as a result of owing metro a favor or a deal. So he probably made a lot of profit
A lot of people don’t understand what royalties are at all lol. People really think so and so gives free beats and verses and don’t get nothing on the backend lol. A “free” beat for Future is really bank for Metro.
@@nuknowledge9414facts, for any popular artist. The common man can’t even give a free beat/collab with someone like Future. Just having 1 song with them will get you decent passive income. Imagine a whole collab album with famous artists and you get to release under your name. 🤑
Bro ppl don’t understand some people are just into there craft heavy like they obsessed over it
it’s a celebrities job to make you think more of them, if that was the case he wouldnt have any designer on cause he’d be broke, people take advantage of those who dont wanna be paid, he obviously gets paid bro.
@@uaintshyt5518obviously he gets paid but to him that’s just a plus being able to make beats and have a long lasting career in his passion is his main objective
I think they were more asking how he makes money if he produces for bigger artists he’s cool with. He’s probably made most of his money off of his biggest songs that he did for big artists. “I would do it for free” is great, but he doesn’t.
@@joredet8521right hes bullshitting i don’t doubt he genuinely loves his art but he wouldn’t be living a nice lifestyle if he was giving free beats lmfaoo
@@Astarrrrr getting paid upfront for beats is one of many ways to get payed and he forsure charges most people upfront just not people he’s actually cool with and the ones that he is cool still give him credits on the song so he gets paid from his label, backend from streaming and many other things
“I’ll do this shit for free”
Caption: OMG METRO BOOMIN CHARGES $100K FOR A BEAT!!!
I worked with a guy who went to high school with metro and he was passing tapes around the school. Dude was so mad he threw away that tape after he blew up.
😂😂 I remember when someone asked me to go to a lil baby concert for like $5 but this was in college when Lil Baby was unheard of outside of the hood (I’m from
Burbs)
I seen flo rida face to face
STL legend
Mayweather gave me 20k
@@osamabidenobama8240 LeBron signed my shoes
When you love art fr you know who deserves your input and who has to pay .
That's why snoop chargers 250k for a video shoot and then extra if you want him to rap. Where as if you're the big or lil homie, he'll do it for free
Smart he gets free vocals and verses for a beat😂 nigga smart asf
That's how producers should work man, help a artist build a catalog and vice versa... everyone wins and the music takes the upmost attention
@@FrankRiverfragreed and potentially both parties can gain profit ofc
Yea but is a metro album gonna sell the same way a future single prod by metro would sell?
@@LilCrookENTMetro had one of the highest selling rap albums last year..
metro gets credits on songs. everyone credited gets a cut. when you have 1-5% of 20 future songs it rakes in money.
I feel him on the passion part. People have offered to buy beats from me, but I do it as a hobby and just end up giving it to them for free. I only ask for a shout out. I love hearing people on my beats, that's payment enough. I look at it as a shared art.
would u be bale to give me a beat i want to do a song but i need a good catchy beat
Man that’s dope
@@user-gh8yh6vj8fHonestly, bro. You should focus on expressing yourself through words first bc that grammar is cheeks
Where the beats at
Metro a solid dude!
He got futures mannerisms
The music labels love these guys😂😂 get finessed hella hard 😂
They love a guy that cares less about money and more about the music? That makes no sense
@@brenetssssmakes a lot of sense cause the label pockets that money while he keeps working. But im sure metro has his own label
@@Forevershawndid he ever say the label takes his money? Y'all adding made up context that wasn't given for no reason. He said he doesn't charge rappers but in exchange has that artist on his album. Meaning he doesn't make money off charging them for the beat but by using their name/likeness + a ft on his album. So his album will sell more and he will make more while putting out his ideal project.
You guys aren't very bright
You dont even know who this is you bozo
What a true hero even though most beat makers get ripped off the way metro sees this is art and he has a passion and love that shows , him trading with artists is how the game should be absolutely genius move
nah he should get a big percentage
💀💀💀💀💀yo bro said I DONT CARE 😂😂he like stop playing me
Metro is one of the few who actually jus loves making music. I wont lie once you get into the industry everyone always asking how much you making and all that and it can be tedious to actually stay in love with jus creating new sounds he is one of the few who actually maintained that love and you can tell.
the only people that are still doing this are the passionate ones🙏🏾
They all do this. Even for features, it's basically we both do a free song for each other.
lmfao the personalities , its like night and day
Some ppl can’t wrap their heads around the concept of “for the love of the game” then they say “but what about money obviously you have to care about money” mf if you don’t have a love for the game first, no one’s gonna listen to the art and there’s no money to be made in the first place
He’s just pocket watching, his accountant thanks him.
Saying he’d do it for free cause he loves the art so much is respectable. But it’s also easy to say when you make millions
Metro growed with the boys so I look it as sharing money and bringing value with each other
Love producers who are jus there fo the craft
Honestly expected more especially in this day and age
Most humble guy I know!
Is the passion man. It’s a reason why he’s one of the best, if not the best out.
An that's why Metro one of the GOAT Prods! Man's produced some of the greatest hood classics!!
Genuinely this is why metro still around. He in it for the art
This is part of the Hustle that historically goes on in the hood, you don’t always gotta accept money for favors, a favor can be paid in more than one way other than money
I don’t understand how people watch these guys. I can’t do it. But good for em and keep up the work.
Metro such a big name on the game and he still cares about getting exposure. This man is a fucking legend🫡
He love the Art...we need producers that’s willing to make beats For Helping artists
They sincerely can’t comprehend.
All them influencers ever focus on is money, but money can’t buy passion
Nah I absolutely love the way he says “at the same time u wanna get paid right” and metro just shuts it down sayin he’d do this shit for free
Let the man answer the questions!!
If you love what you and what you do loves you, then the money follows you like a groupie
That’s how it used to be. Artists never charged other artists. They only did swaps!!
Damn y’all gone answer every question for em or what. The fuck
He like the split on royalties work just fine.
And that’s why he on his path of becoming the Best Engineer/Producer he can do both Amazingly.
I love it. Money can make you a fool. He does what comes from his heart, not for the money. Money doesn't buy us love or a beautiful heart.
Only people who say they don’t care about money is rich ones
The taste of the masses is finicky. Hold onto the money.
A lot people find it so crazy that a good portion of mainstream artists actually do music because it’s their passion rather than for the money. They don’t seem to understand that there’s more to life than money.
Bro's happy with the royalties, is all
if he gets a dollar everytime for saying *like* he's gonna be a billionaire
Metro makes Spider-Man albums, I’m sure he got wealth fr
I remember when Metro Boomin was working with Mr Hotspot way back when👍
If we ain’t have real legend producers like metro and a lot of OGs like Dre in the game hip hop rap or any music genre would never be the same. We won’t have half these dope artists in the game right now if it ain’t for producers. They also deserve their flowers 💐
“1 some” = 1 million +
Such a talented producer
The barter system works 😂
The publishing Is what gets him paid
Damn, Metro Boomin really do be making it boom
Easy to say it’s not about the money when you already have the money
"Prolly just 1 some" He made it
BIG CAP the IRS listening he definitely getting paid
steiny doesn’t understand the concept of passion just the dollar amount
He speaking Capanesse 😂...free
They ask him 5 questions at once and doesn’t let him finish one question
Cool to see someone do something out of passion nowadays
They always interrupt their guest 🥴
Metro and future go together like PB and J.
They literally could not fathom that he's a genuine awesome artist having the time of his life working alongside his music heroes amd not trying to extort the maximum amount of money out of everyone 😂
Metro’s lawyers like “hold up son keep that mouth shut we need money”
It’s not about the money… but be on My album to generate a lot of money. It’s always about the money.
I feel like what he's really communicating is he's more focused on his own individual platform growing and you can't do that charging people the swaps grow his own personal career on multiple levels and I probably worth more in the long run and over time might even be worth more in the short term
TIMBO was selling beats for 500K and they were selling like hotcakes.
That's back when people had label money
Watch out metro, generosity is what hurt T pain
I really do understand the love for making music
hes trying to say he doesn’t care to charge an upfront fee… at this point in his life he’s definitely making a significant amount off publishing, an upfront fee isn’t a huge deal.
Goat Producer
It's not about the money but so doesn't answer
Royalties
Annihilate and heroes and villains was dope as shit
I hate when people interrupt
He saying I know they take care of me so idc cause I know your gonna treat me right with the price
After that logic he made a heavy bag with his last 3 albums jeeez
Steiny for real represents the idea and motive of every North American person. Money money money. No love, sad.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
100K for composing beats…as a professional drummer for 24 years now, that would be as easy as breathing. Holy cow I’m in the wrong business!!!
They really having a hard time understanding someone’s passion for what they love. lil bro loves what he does. The money is just a plus. You’ll figure it out eventually
It’s so much more to selling beats for a 1 time price
very cool video thanks bro
People with money always be the first to say they dgaf about money, no sht you're not worried about it.
Stiney’s first actual interesting question
Never say you'll do something for free that you get paid to do
bro does not have time to talk 💀
He sells beasts to CB4 characters
It aint about the money when you already got the money😂
That’s why he is who he is.
He’s not lying. I’ve worked with a bunch of producers, and a lot of the times they just hand me beats and me being the artist I am I rather pay them on top of getting their royalties and just do. A lot of producers feel this way from the big ones to the small ones. Trust me. You’d be surprised at who actually just give beats away just for an exchange of a feature or whatever. Big ups to MB
