yall just saved me 200 bucks from calling someone to fix this for what is a easy repair. Got the parts in today and got done in about 15 minutes yall are awesome
This was one of the easiest repairs I have ever made, thx for the knowledge. Just for those curious It takes longer to unscrew the screws than it does to actually repair the Machine lol.
The other side of the door lock is what is broken, the little hook thingy, located on the door itself. Where do I buy just that part and how do I replace it. Thanks
im service tech in EU. Need to know how to release stucked door with instantenous type 4 door lock mechanism with door that has solid/fixed door latch so there is not possibility to release the door manually by manipulating with the latch and also there isnt the plastic mechanism attached to the switch from inner side to release stucked door manually. You can barelly get to the switch from upper inner side but it looks there also isnt any mechanism on its surface for possibility to open it manually. Its also impossible to open the switch electrically by setting the drain function because it has mechanical failure. It wont open and even close - after few attempts the De02 error appears. I dont want to destroy the door latch by trying to open it by force because you cant change the door latch on this type that has door that cant be dissasembled.. You would need brand new one. terrible..just terrible
The lock part number you can request at your local LG support office. For the spring removal, you may look for 383EER4001A. If that does not work, you can look online for washing machine spring removal/expansion tools. Good luck!

what is the model number of the interlock as video? where i can buy the tool to uninstall and install the belt?

changed my lock but still have the same error! anyone know what the problem could be?
It could be a PCB problem, but may I ask what error you see?
@@LGSAE it's error de1 . The switch is new and all cables from the switch to the board have good continuity. I noticed a red LED lit up on the board.
@@LGSAE bought a new board and now get error DE2. any ideas what the problem could be?
