Another difference on how the Simpsons would have been different if it was created in 2024 instead of the late 1980's, is that Grandpa Simpson would have been a Vietnam veteran instead of a WW2 veteran, while principal skinner would have been a gulf war veteran instead of a Vietnam veteran.

I honestly believe if the Simpsons were made today, they'd probably do what South Park did recently. I ain't just talking about making fun of Disney, Kathy Kennedy, Bob Iger and the whole PUT A CHICK IN IT AND MAKE HER LAME AND GAY thing. But they'd poke fun of this woke culture. At least I think they would. They'd be ballsy to do that.

This happened with the Rugrats reboot that started in 2021. What if it came out in 2021 instead of 1991? It’s not a question anyone had but we got an answer anyway.
I'd have Marge Simpson as a former successful real estate agent, but with the housing market being trash, I'd have her trying to find another line of work like owning a small online business, or something. It would give her more flexibility to be a stay at home mom and focus on Maggie while also contributing to household income.

I actually think that the Simpsons family would have an additional character: a babysitter for Bart and Lisa who is hired to watch them when Marge and Homer are at work. The babysitter will fill the role of a teenage character, and probably be the younger sibling of one of the characters at school to establish a better character web.

Marge has had many shortlived jobs over the decades of The Simpsons. Most often food service (waitress, pretzel stand owner, exotic baker) or cleaning (crime scene cleaner, maid). Given her employment she could probably have a permanent job in either of those fields.
Making Moe a woman would ruin him.
In this hypothetical situation, Moe never would have existed. So there's no way for him to have been ruined. We'd just have a completely different bar setting.

Not that I agree with the particular profession or Big Pharma industry, but that would allow for plenty of plot conflict, especially if Homer was still in ‘Nuculur’ work.

8:08 I feel like kids walking wherever they want is sort of a cartoon tradition. Lots of newer cartoons like Gumball have the characters do that. Sometimes grownups would get in the way of the plot. In Bob's Burgers The Belcher kids can go pretty much wherever they want but they usually don't venture too far from the Wonder Warf.
I think modern Simpsons would be a much better show if they made those adaptations inorder to make it more accurate to 2024.
We wouldn't have Futurama or Disenchantment.
Marge could also be an accountant.

I grew up during the 80's and 90's which is why I am so familiar with not only vintage Simpsons but also Star Trek The Next Generation, which is why I say shaka when the walks fell in so many of charles UA-cam posts since it is a phrase that was frequently said in one of the episodes of Star Trek TNG.
