he's promoting that normal gameplay with no extreme buffs such as rapid trigger can still be just as good. I think it's pretty good. A decent example is even Merami deathstreaming 300bpm when wooting didn't exist. that shows people it's possible to do anything without boosts.
@@naoya2580 i completely get your poin and i even think it is a noble point of view from btmc. But: 1. A rapid trigger keypad costs 25 bucks 2. People identify with ed and want him to succeed 3. @@sandwich-playscertainly, but thats a bit like saying the best cyclists in the world wouldnt win the tour de france on normal road bikes. Of course they wouldnt. In thorough consideration of the complex and multifaceted circumstances that presently surround us, and following a meticulous process of contemplation and introspection, I must, with a certain degree of lament, convey to you my present state of incapacity to actively participate in the requested action, as the intricacies and exigencies associated with the execution of said task lie distinctly beyond the purview of my current cognitive and operational capacities. Regrettably, I find myself ensnared in the labyrinthine coils of circumstance, compelled to communicate my present incapacity with a profound sense of contrition and a discernible undercurrent of lamentation, as the nuanced intricacies of the prevailing situation preclude my ability to accede to the entreaty proffered. In this juncture of linguistic expression, I am constrained to articulate, in a meticulously elaborate manner, the formidable impediments that presently beset the manifestation of affirmative action in response to the aforementioned solicitation. Alas, within the crucible of my current reality, the prospect of affirmative engagement with the specified task proves elusive, shrouded in the somber vestiges of limitation and constraint. With due deference to the gravity inherent in the articulated request, I am compelled to elucidate the manifold factors contributing to my prevailing state of incapacitation. This lamentable circumstance is not born of capricious inclination but is rather the consequence of a confluence of exigencies that, for the present, conspire against the realization of the desired action.
I will say when I bought my first keyboard and tablet to play osu, btmc was a big influence on what bought (that being the hyperX origins and Wacom 472. That being said, I believe the argument about how there are affordable rapid trigger products still stands (even wooting uwu is cheaper than hyperx keyboard *granted its only 3 buttons in comparison to full keyboard*). I would love to see Ed start playing with rapid trigger to see what can achieve, but I also respect that he recognizes that he's actions influence others. In regards to rapid trigger feeling like a different game, if you're drastically changing your tapping to get the most out of the rapid trigger, I agree it's different. But how I see it, in the way that playing with a mouse is different from playing with a tablet, playing either playstyle is still playing the same game. Rapid trigger is just another peripheral just like tablet and mouse are. Imo, at the end of the day, it just comes down to whatever Ed finds more fun. (gz on the 1.2k 🎉)
tablet is mainly for drawing digitally, but afaik osu is the only game where people look at it and say "this could work" and it does unless maybe skribblio, or valorant (but that's just kariyu)
8:35 By that logic why not play with a mouse and low value monitor? I don't believe a rapid trigger keyboard is even more expensive than the keyboard he is using, and not everyone can get a tablet. Tbh it just seems like Ed is fishing for reasons to not use rapid trigger, when it has long become accessible (sayo device exists and iirc is also relatively cheap as an alternative).
(opinion from someone who bought 60he when it came out) on the first point about accessibility, in eds video at the time wooting were the only keyboards with rapid trigger. this is not including the fact that you had to wait a few months unlike now (besides 80he cause it’s new). the alloy origins core is $90 which in my opinion relating to the keyboard space is a good price compared to what was out at the time. like yes $90 is still a good chunk but like i said compared to what was on the market was fair. and dropping pretty much double that was not at all justified if you weren’t a top player. obviously now the market has changed but that first point is a little disingenuous since the original point was from the perspective of that first video ed made.
Here's a better challenge. BTMC top 100 or EnZo is not allowed to use hall effects for his entirety of his osu career just because it makes BTMC use rapid trigger against his will
