Homily for the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul by Bishop Kham

GOSPEL: Mt 16:13-19
"You are the Rock, I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven."
The Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew.
At that time, Jesus came to the district of Caesarea Philippi, and asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?" They said, "Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, others say Jeremiah or some other prophet." Jesus said to them, "Who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God".
Jesus replied, "You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah, because neither flesh nor blood has been revealed to you, but My Father who is in heaven. So I tell you, You are the Rock. On this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell will not prevail. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose. open on earth, open in heaven."
That is the word of God.
