Please pray for me. I am addicted to cannabis. Was addicted to alcohol and thought cannabis helped me but I just became a slave to it now too. When I get drunk or high, I always start to cry because I feel conviction in my heart that I’m not on the right path. But I don’t know how to break these chains

This morning, I awoke feeling discontent with my church because of certain chapters in 1 Timothy Chapter 3:1-13 these verses that I know by heart, and they chose to ignore. The Devil got into my mind, telling me I didn't need to attend church and should just stay home. My wife, who worked last night, had planned to accompany me to a new church, but when she called, I decided we wouldn't go. These very verses and His path led me to your channel, guiding us to a new church and receiving the Holy Spirit this morning despite him and rebuking him. We may not know His plan, but He has one. @@hardsayings2400 Why would God's preserved word in English have serious translation errors? For example, the Hebrew word in the Old Testament that was translated into "hell" in the KJV is "sheol". "Shoel" means "the grave" or the realm of the dead". (This realm was a place where ALL souls would go.) Neither one of these definitions means a place where the wicked are tormented eternally. This is an error. Jesus NEVER actually said the word "hell" at all. The word "hell" was derived from Norse mythology. It comes from the name of the Norse goddess of death, "Hel". In fact, the word "hell" came into existence more the a thousand years after Christ was crucified. What Jesus actually said, instead of "hell", was "the Valley of Hinnom" (or "Gehenna" in Greek). This valley was an actual, physical place in Jerusalem. It was where Jews, years before Jesus, rebelled against God and sacrificed their children in flames in praise to Molech, a pagan God. It was considered to be a cursed place and a place of God's judgement. The KJV (and other English Bibles) use a word derived from a pagan goddess rather than what Jesus actually said. This is an error.
