this game is actually really interesting! it doesn't have as selective build potential as backpack battles but it's cool seeing the strategies you develop by going with what you got. I also notice it's a lot more investment heavy and min-maxxy but it's refreshing to see new content every now and then as well
it feels to me you wait way to long to set up the matter generator, in the mission round 50 minutes you could have set them up really early, your laser and push combo hold enemies away even without fully upgraded walls, so you investing in walls that never even get touched instead of setting up a matter generator seems like you are wasting time on the generator. not that you fail the game due to it. it just means you can retire them earlier, possibly.
I think you are undervaluing the pushback guns. Think of them this way. They have infinite peirce, meaning they can push back as many enemies as they can reach. And when you stack multiples of them, they get exponentially better. The difference between 80% immunity and 90% immunity is a lot bigger than 0% immunity and 10% immunity. It also is incredible with AOE, as most of the enemies are in 1 area. If you stack like 5 of them, basically no enemy will touch your front wall. Also, since energy generation is based on in-game time, you're better off delaying waves anyways. Their only hard counter is speed and flight, but that can be said for most builds.
If people don't cry over some upgrades and force the dev to nerf them, there are some pretty fun and "broken" upgrades and it's really enjoyable for such a simple concept, kudos to the dev! I really enjoy how getting a legendary artifact actually alters the builds and strategies mid game.
I feel like you need to pause more often before dropping towers/when you gain enough currency, giving you time to decide placement & selection, as every second counts. Not so much on this difficulty I guess, but still a good thing to practice. Also with the coils, the new ones should go in front so you don’t lose any. Just some small things I’ve noticed 🤓…not that I’ve played the game yet 😂 It’s a good game to watch, I’d keep watching the videos as you improve and figure out the min/maxing strategies, as I’m a complete min/max fanatic 🤪 Edit: Finished watching the video now, those coils got ridiculously OP! Though the lack of min/maxing made me go slightly insane, it seemed easy enough. I think some of the upgrades need a bit of balancing, but so far it’s just fun to become OP 😂

There are many many flaws. Why start with the generators?

I think the matter generator is next in line for nerfing... Personally, I would have the second one cost 40, the third cost 60, then 90, then 140.
Why no wave generators with the last tech upgrade double speed aura lets you drop them in and lose nothing at all.
