Hey, your video on DM strategies is quite helpful. It would help us more if you could solve a couple of more DM sets. That way we could get more clarity. Because now when I'm trying to solve more, it's leading me to a dead-end.
1. 3rd 2. 3rd As answered by most, in 1st question the answer is not 4th because it reduces profits, loss of jobs of depending people and there is already a long term contract with that village. Thank you Anant bhaiya
But, ethics and continuity will be priortisied always as in this case too- the answer is 4th option- Ananta Bhaiya has approved of them under some comment as well.
@@ananta.chhajer but its given in the passage that village's 50% revenue comes from leasing water which provides job. Wouldnt taking water from somewhere affect village drastically and many of 250 people will loose their job. I think option 5 where company can rebrand to Purified Spring water from Natural can be the best step cause all the stakeholders are happy and customers wont loose trust cuz its still spring water.
@@atishrout7315 couple of things 1. The company relies on natural spring water as the USP. Purified water is not what the agreement was for 2. Most important is chemical contaminants going into the spring is not acceptable. Company purifying it means it accepts the practice which is wrong (here you need to account for environment as a non human stakeholder) - so company should never encourage contamination. Long term solution is to move to organic ways that does not pollute. But since it is asking for immediate solution, the company can bear the extra cost Further the revenue and village jobs should not be a matter since it is a short term and just an immediate solution. The villagers cannot keep contaminating and expect the company to continue (The key to crack set was listing down environment as one of the stakeholder in the last 2 questions which would have made it easy)
In the first question why to choose option 4 as it is not cost effective. While option one a better solution according to me as we need to choose an immediate solution, and informing the media would be a better solution.
The question is: what will be the immediate solution? Because if traces of pesticides and chemicals are present in water, what will be the course of action? Imagine this situation if you are the one who is going to make this decision. The reason for option 4 is that you cannot shut down the plant, so what I will do is get water from another area, even if it will cost me more money, because my supply chain is still running. If I shut down all the businesses, my supply chain will be disturbed, but with option 4, my profitability will be affected, but my business is still running, and other options will take time or are not ethical to do because the company sells natural, pure spring water, not filtered water, so the appropriate course of action will be option 4. @@mehak485
Thanks for your insights bro. Seems like a fool proof method to solve BDM😇 Also for the BDM PYQs which source to trust? As different institutes have different answers mentioned. (Official key was also not released.)
Ethical can be subjective, isn't it? for a contractor ethical decision is not to complain about a corrupt government engineer to the DM as it might affect his image or career in contracting. So hat actually is ethical when it comes to saving yourr job or not compromising moral values?
Quite informative . Thanks for the session ❤️ Q1. - 5 Q2.- 3 It will be great if u can solve 2,3 more difficult DM sets using FRUTE.. How you will you UTILITARIAN aspect...will love to see
Hey@samyakjain i think its because, by promoting organic farming the MNC is being responsible to the farmers and the environment(ethical). Also, as organic farming promotes soil fertility, the water can harness more nutrients. Also, the decision is utilitarian because it is practical and it serves maximum happiness to all the stakeholders. In the first option, we dont know if changing irrigation method is going to solve the real problem of chemical pollution. (Maybe not maximum happiness) . So safe to go with option 3.
what if the what and why about some stakeholder is not mentioned in the case? Also could you solve some more problems using the same framework, that would be great.

For first question since the person is instigated by someone else, so company should not give in to wrong demand. They have resolve with all stakeholders and not give in to the wrong demand And for 2nd question the issue is with contamination. Providing alternate sources is not a sustainable solution. You have to prevent the villagers from contaminating water
