Rod, CJ, and the coach did a "draft" of the best Texas players from the Big 12 era. I think VY went 1st overall, and Derrick Johnson was someone else's 1st.

@N-of-ALL Orakpo had a great senior season, but so did JJ, and Jeffcoat's career was better. More sacks (26 to 23), tackles (172 to 103), TFL (50 to 34.5), turnovers (5 to 0). Both were consensus AA, Big 12 DPOY, Hendricks winners, although Orakpo also won Lombardi and Nagurski.

@@HotRod82 Why do people always say that? Tebow took about 5% of the snaps for Florida when they won in 2006. Urban Meyer is kind of scummy, but he's the reason UF won so much for a few years, and if any one player deserves plurality credit for 2006, it's Leak.

Bobby keeps arguing that we aren’t coming up 2nd on all these commitments only because of NIL. His argument would have more credibility if we weren’t the low bid ON EVERY LOST RECRUIT AND LOST TRANSFER COMMITMENT.
Since the numbers are private, how do you know? Evert decision is not about money. Some follow coaches and relationships.

If we lost the last six head to head battles against Oregon, and Oregon has outbid us on every one of them, that gives you a 50% to the sixth power or a 1.6% chance of being correct. You’re just repeating what Bobby wants to think even though there is no data to support him.
@@jameshendrick-cd2mz They have not been confirmed. Players look at the total opportunity. For example, one recruit might opt for a top-tier position coach and good NIL over a less proven (or unproven) position coach and better NIL.

@jameshendrick-cd2mz Oregon out spent several teams genius, not just Texas. If you are known as the highest bidder, you can throw culture out completely. Questioning Sark's recruiting isn't too bright either. Up to this point, three straight top 5 classes. Wait and see how this affects Oregon in the long run. DK gave his silent to Texas on his OV. Dealing with 16 and 17 year Olds is not an exact science. And I speak for myself, son!
