Beautiful production. I am still drawn to the fantasy and grandeur of the original production as shown in Ballet Russe. What a sight that must have been for the audience to see the Firebird come to life for the first time.

At first I'd thought having three dancers portray one character simultaneously (the Firebird) and the use of the lighted orbs by "Us" would be awkward and gimmicky, but I found such things to be brilliant means to convey great depth. The message conveyed by this ballet is quite contemporary to our times. I hope it heartens all of "Us" to maintain our courage.

Really lovely with a live orchestra. I actually prefer this pared-down production to the Bolshoi’s. Absolutely glorious music!
This is dev my all time favourite productions of the Firebird Ballet. The neo classical dance and narrative of the story are superb!
