Bought a model 6 K1022A1 to replace a lost Spyderco Slysz bowie and i prefer the model 6 as a EDC. FWIW the later versions have jimping on the top of the blade and on the front of the flipper tab. If you are using the flipper holding your bottom two fingertips in the cutout on the clip keeps you from loading the lock and makes for a smooth opening with very little pressure for the flip. Fantastic knife for the money IMO.
Something I noticed (2 years down the road!) is that Stassa's model appears to be a prototype. I guess what was being shown at Blade Show wasn't the exact iteration found in production. Not much is different, but: the pocket clip position is different. Production models will have slight "overlap" of the lockbar. Another thing is jimping. Production models do have jimping on the blade spine... but I wouldn't worry about it, because it's not patricularly meaningful jimping. Jimping can also be found on the fipper. EDIT: Almost forgot, production titanium models do have internal milling done to reduce weight. Mine is 3.77 ounces.
I have one of 5 original prototypes of this knife matter fact mine has the same exact finish as the one in this video I've had it for about a year now won it in the Kansept knife group it's a really nice knife .If I could change anything I would have added a little jimping to flipper tap & top of the blade & maybe a solid clip & an anodized pivot collar for a little pop .
It definitely needs some accents and jimping on the flipper and I would have loved a little texture on the scales because it can be kinda slippery for me at times 👌🏻
Hi ,Stassa23. You video reviews are the BEST. LOVE THE CUT TESTS. And Performance tests ! Thanks I've learned Alot from YOU .! KEEP IT UP 💯👌😌 SEE YOU SOON. THANK YOU KERRY 😊
Excellent review sir, new subscriber here! Thank you for actually putting the knife through its paces, I don't know why most reviewers don't do the same
I don't want to miss out on the roxi 3 but this looks pretty nice. I'm usually disappointed with m390 and 20cv, maybe kansept stepped up and did it right
Hey Stassa, love your videos! Question for you : if you had to pick between the KANSEPT Model 6 & the KANSEPT Convict, which would you choose and why? Keep the great videos coming 🙂
That stuff is at my shop at my old house so until I get my new shop built I probably won’t be able to do the fun stuff but I’m definitely working on it
Nice review, appreciate you cutting with the knife and then sharing the highs and lows of the experience. This knife looks like a decent user but just a little too plain, I think I’d end up passing over it to grab something else in my knife drawer. Maybe with a natural canvas Micarta show scale it might get more attention. But as it is, well just too plain for me and it would end up not getting carried. I’ll pass
The Jasmine has a thinner grind so it’s a little better slicer and the Biblio has better ergoes because of the thicker handle however the Model 6 held an edge longer than my Biblio

Love that blade shape similar to vox f5.5 etc. Seems to cut like a dream. Cut test is good to see and is helpful. Thanks 👍
First Kansept I’ve been interested in. Thanks Stassa.
Pretty sweet, looks like a bigger Kizer October with a different blade shape and no choil.

It seems to me to be a common problem with Kansept knifes, jimping.
To me that says "Jesper Voxnaes" all over it. I like how beefy it is too.
Hadn't seen or heard 🤔 of this one
So far it's the only Kansept I've ever been interested in.
That blade shape seems fantastic.
Great review, always like watching your videos. Learn something new every time.

Well done, once again.
That would look even better with an entropic anodization.
Thanks for sharing. I am so getting one now.
I would go with the orange peel finish one or the coated one because this bead blast one can be slippery
Thank you I will keep that in mind. Thanks for always making very informative videos.

I would go with the Roxi 3 first and the Model 6 a close second for me
How do you think it compares to the Jasmine or the Ace Biblio?
Looks good 👍 and performed well Mr Stassa

Just wondering why you didn't baton on the aluminum nail and cut copper wire with this knife ?
That stuff is at my shop at my old house so until I get my new shop built I probably won’t be able to do the fun stuff but I’m definitely working on it
@@Stassa23 thanks for the reply !

It definitely needs a little flare because it’s to plain for sure
Impressive ! Thanks 👍🏻✌🏻
Definitely way to expensive for me to use as an EDC or even to fit in my budget so one I would have to pass on
