I remember my grandpa…he passed in 2016 he was 78 I cried more then I ever have and I haven’t cried like that since…I was 11…I still miss him.
My son just sent me this.
As fathers, we often question ourselves.
Too often we cringe at our failures and the regret of being the wrong example with our actions (or lack thereof) in times past.
Yet in spite of these occasional thoughts, to have your son relay his love and appreciation for you through an unexpected video link, reminds me that I did my best; even during those times when I felt I had nothing of value to give.
And for that I give God the glory.

I remember when I first heard this song, it was shortly before my dad died. My dad was an adventurer of sorts and he died when he crashed his jet pack harpoon fishing. I was looking for comfort and really two things helped. This song helped the most. I remember eat peanut butter and ham sandwiches with my dad. Those special things he taught me(peanut butter before ham then mayo). When you say that line, I tear up a bit. My dear friends Tie Hat also helped me. Look them up, buy an album.
My dads death anniversary is coming up and I listen to this song each year while I remember our memories
